cmbaviator Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hi guys So far I've been able to hear 3 differents sounds for the RWR but I don't know what they mean, I was doing a training where a was engaging 4 mig21bis with the medium range load out . I think there were jamming because they weren't displayed on my radar even at 5 NM, so I use my magic and manage to get 2 kills, however after that my RWR went crazy and got splashed, however I didn't know if I was locked, if an IR/radar homing missile was launched..... My BR,DM and DA was on. Also when yo turn your radar on, are you displayed on ennemy RWR? Also is there a visual warning on the RWR telling you were the missile was launched ? Thanks CMB Sent from Tapatalk
Slipp Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Currently, Mirage RWR does not make a sound for radar and IR launch. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, since Mirage 2000 can detect both kinds of launches.

Fishbed-21 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Ah okay thanks, so what does these sounds means then ? CMB Sent from Tapatalk At the moment I can recognize only 2 kinds of sounds. The 1st is like a short beep and it will be heard when a new plane is added on the RWR (a new radio source). The second is like a long continued beep and is meaning that you are locked by the enemy radar. On the RWR is displayed a circle on the symbols. Ex A MiG-23 will lock you, you will heard a long beep, and on RWR the "23" is circled. Pain is weakness leaving your body... Fishbed-21 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Ok thanks CMB Sent from Tapatalk UPDATE: I have also found that the rwr will signal a different lock tone for the SAM's radar. QuiGon Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Also when yo turn your radar on, are you displayed on ennemy RWR? I would also like to know that. Can other aircraft RWRs (especially A-10C and F-15C) already pick up the M2000 radar? If so, how will they be shown? As unkown (U) like the MiG-21 or something else? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

QuiGon Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 A-10C can. It shows as M2 on the RWR screen. Haven't checked F-15C yet. Thanks, that's nice to know. On a sidenote: How come the MiG-21 is just shown as unkown on the A-10C and F-15 RWR while it shows up as 21^ on the M2000 RWR? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

It doesn't, MiG shows as UK^ in the M2000. The 21^ is actually the Mirage at the moment which makes the whole lacking IFF issue even more confusing. :) Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds

winchesterdelta1 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 F-15 also shows M2 on RWR. Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer.
QuiGon Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Just saw it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=156468&highlight=MiG-21+RWR It also shows the MiG-21 as 21^ and not as unkown on the F-15 RWR. That's new to me. So it's only wrong on the M2000 RWR.
