In this video, you can see that when you have an IR lock, there is a triangle, this is the most realistic symbol for IR lock as I've seen some video of M2000 that have this triangle symbol. I don't know why Razbam decided to replace them with the small circle.

Maybe because the DCS: "M2000" is completely fictional and doesn't resemble the systems of the real world refernce.

 

Edit: Or because it has to do with ECM jamming.

Tssss that's very condescending :mad: - fictional? Really?

 

The answer is probably "placeholder".

What you see is a little circle representing the missile seeker's position (it also appears with the 530D).

When you locked a target, the missile's seeker is on the target. That's it.

This is not a "locked by Magic II" symbology.

The triangle means radar + Magic lock.

 

Magic lock alone is a circle.

Radar lock is a square.

 

Yes it needs update...remember : Beta

 

 

Thanks for the explanation, the strange thing is that it seems to work in close beta, I don't know why they removed it
