Harpoon Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 There's a little debate going on somewhere else that I made the mistake of joining in on: Whether or not the two Libyan Flogger pilots were lost at sea after getting shot down. The thing is, they both had good chutes, but I talked about how a good chute never means a good landing, and then went on about a certain factoid that the Libyans never commenced a rescue operation. Is that true? From what I've heard, the Libyan government denied any losses, but the US confirmed at least one was killed. I did some research, but it seemed that there was scarce information on the subject aside from Wikipedia, which, of course, would render my part useless if I tried to debate using that. And remember, ladies and gentlemen: factoid an assumption or speculation that is reported and repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact. If you want to talk to anyone about anything personal, send it to their PM box. Interpersonal drama and ad hominem rebuttal are things that do not belong on a thread viewed by the public. One thing i have to point out... naming a thread.. "OK, so" is as useful as tits on a bull.
