Hey everyone....

I just got a pair of Saitek battel pro rudder pedals...

I get masive fps drops, when ever I use em. If I press on the pedals, I get a drop of 40 FPS !!!

I have tryed diffrent USB Ports, but its all the same....

Anyone else got this problem, or got a selustion to the problem ?

Sounds like you have a power supply issue. Your usb devices may be drawing too much power and there isn't enough juice left for the gpu. Check your amps needed or perhaps use a powered USB hub.

Usually, unless you have the least of motherboards and PSU around, the USB 5 Volt circuit and the GPU's 12Volt circuit are independant from each other.

Also, USB 2.0 ( what the pedals are ) will not draw enough power to compromise your whole board, if that was true then your PSU is at 90%+ of it's rated load and about to go up in smoke and liquid glue very soon.

10 Watts is allowed for USB 2.0 iirc whereas a nice GPU can take anything up to 500+Watts for some AMDs and multicard configs, on a totally different voltage rail.

The closest assumption is a faulty USB driver installation ( Saitek Software ) and/or a badly behaving USB port ( maybe non-Intel add-on on your Mobo ? ) or a USB-hub that doesnt properly work.

Usually, usb problems are due to bad timing in the usb chips, if the protocol is out of sync your devices will pop in & out in your OS. Try an Intel-based USB port on your Mobo, no USB 3.0 or later etc...

Fab; That's a very very stupid question, but if you'll replay a track of your flight, will you see same FPS drop?

Yes and no... All planes in FC3 have the problem, but rest of the modules dosent...

It strikes me od, that its the least demanding planes that got the problem...

Dear ED Developers,

this issue seems to be a global one affecting both DCS World and DCS World BETA.

The issue seems to be hard to notice on a CPU >4Ghz (e.g i7)

The issue makes the game nearly unplayable on a CPU <3Ghz (e.g i5)

Example: On my i5 750, Geforce 460, 2.67Ghz, 2xSSD, I get:

- No inputs = 80-120 FPS

- Moving a controller = 30-50 FPS

- Moving throttle, stick and pedals together < 10 FPS

- The issue does not occur on free planes (e.g the Su-25T)

- The issue occurs on all pay-ware aircrafts.

- The issue is a show-stopper, P0/S1P1 on low-mid range systems.

I think these threads might need to be joined and the issue to be looked into!
