warthogmadman987 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I have noticed, ecpecially after capture video with fraps, that i begin to see rings or lines in the sky, jumping from one color to the next, like some people saw with haze. I do have a ati card(look below) Is there a way to fix it? Ot, as i am geussing, that is normal in lockon? i think this explains it good, if you need to see a pic, just ask and i will see if i can post one, but hopefully you can answer from my dicscription.

warthogmadman987 Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 ill see if i can get some up here in the morning (for me anyway, wait, it is morning, time for bed) Unless someone comes up with another response
warthogmadman987 Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 ok, here are some pics, notice the lines in the sky, can you answer my questions from my previous posts?
Disso Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 To be honest, I don't see any lines at all. The sky and different shades look perfectly blended. Perhaps the shot is too small.. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
Crusty Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Just the effect of cutting down the resolution...you see the same effect if you reduce the resolution on a still image..sort of banding ..as the gradiant between tones jumps in larger steps.. looks quite acceptable to me tho oo err...missus:animals_bunny: ** Anti-Pastie**
JaBoG32_Prinzartus Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Try changing your gfx settings from 16 to 32 Bit (color depth) and te lines will dissappear. Although this might cost some fps. warthogmadman987 Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 you guys have to click on the pick to veiw it better, then you will start to see lines... and i am running already at 32 bit...
ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted July 26, 2006 ED Team Posted July 26, 2006 I get that too, nothing unusual about it. Thats how the lock on engine is.. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
TekaTeka Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 That's the limitation of 24bit color. It has only 256 steps for red, green and blue color and they are not enough to produce a smooth gradation human eye accepts as continuous.
