JG27_Arklight Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 STEEL BEASTS Pro PE from eSimGames It sure is a great sim! VERY immersive. Quite the learning curve, but a lot of fun the whole way. :) I'm still learning the sim myself and loving every minute of it. Also, you can't beat the customer service of Esim Games, top-knotch support indeed. Pilotasso Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I wish they did the same for Fighter craft SIM's. .
ED Team Groove Posted July 25, 2006 ED Team Posted July 25, 2006 the only thing i dont like is the explosion animation or "catastropic hit" at all on the tanks... Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en

JG27_Arklight Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 the only thing i dont like is the explosion animation or "catastropic hit" at all on the tanks... I heard that those will be updated in due time along with other graphical features (I could be wrong, but I think I read that somewhere). I believe they are getting any of the tiny kinks worked out first before moving on to any of the more pretty graphical updates/features. Although the explosions and infantry are mrerely sprites, I must say the terrain and vehical models are simply outstanding. I think the foliage is the best I have ever seen in a game or simulator, ever. It really is a remarkable simulation. Mr. Wolf, do you guys play SB Pro PE or the standard SB? jakethesnake630 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 No offense chaps, But I wouldn't spend £10 on a game that looks this bad :| Why'd you guys like it so much? I've been looking for a good tank sim... EDIT!!!= Whoops! Sorry guys, I think that's SB1, not the latest ones...PHEW!! I thought you'd all lost if for a second there.

I spent over $60 on OFP and Jane's LB2 recently, and I've spent much more time on them lately than I have with newer, better looking games like LOMAC and BF2. Sure, soon I'll be right back on LOMAC, but BF2...definitely not.

Hehe..yeah, there's quite a difference between SB1 and SB2. :) SB 1 is a damn good sim though, despite the dated graphics. It too is quite immersive and has/had quite a following for a LONG time. ARM505 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I'll second that - despite the graphics, SB1 is still a better simulator, and more fun than a lot of other stuff out there. Of course, SB Pro PE is light years ahead in the graphics, but it's the same game at heart. If you're looking for a good tank sim, this is the ONLY option.
