Witchking Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Ed! since u are geting new ground vehicles etc...can u implement vehicle lights at night? loL! everyone drives with lights on at night...even military vehicles...unless they are trying to ambush an enemy. This would definately add well to gameplay. imagine seeing lights on the canyon.....a good way to spot vehicles in either planes or choppers.....and then maybe .....u can implement lights to be turned off when enemy are in panic mode...adds well to gameplay. Disso Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Ohh, this whole time I've seen my Crimean landmass occupied by little vehicles, which really immersed me, but I never thought of the possibility of headlights! Honestly, can you imagine how beautiful that would look at dawn, dusk, or night...seeing the city streets littered with moving headlights? The frame impact should be minimal, if not any. All that has to be done is simply apply a smaller version of the runway vehicle headlights already ingame to the rest of the vehicles! If it is a military and it is enganged, they lights with turn off. SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
Witchking Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 And please don't cripple the F-15 anymore :pain: lol! how would adding headlights cripple the crippled F 15 which I don't fly anyways :p:P WHISPR | Intel I7 5930K | Nvidia GTX980 4GB GDDR5 | 16GB DDR4 | Intel 730 series 512GB SSD | Thrustmaster WARTHOG | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR4 pro | |A-10C|BS2 |CA|P-51 MUSTANG|UH-1H HUEY|MI-8 MTV2 |FC3|F5E|M2000C|AJS-37|FW190|BF 109K|Mig21|A-10:SSC,EWC|L-39|NEVADA|
Guest Cali Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 lol! how would adding headlights cripple the crippled F 15 which I don't fly anyways :p:P Every patch has crippled it some way or another. You never now adding headlights to cars might cause the landing gear to buckle on 90% of the landings.
suntrace1 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 And some long range (30-40km) balistic rockets, please.
Prophet_169th Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Tactical procedure, at least for the US, is no lights at night in a tactical situation. Not ever. Unless you are on base, or on a hardball (paved hiway). I have never been in combat, but in the training I have had, I have never seen any vehicle with lights on out in the field at night. It would be suicide. There are actually 2 vertical bars, that are very dimly lit, that you see with NVG. You judge distance by the distance they appear apart. It is called light discipline, and there is sound discipline to go with it.
Guest Cali Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Like Prophet said we normally tape our lights up so they look like cats eyes. Just like smoking in combat and using soap that smells good. You don't want to attract attention to yourself. have you ever seen a bunch of military people in BDU's standing ummm about 1/4 mile from you. At my last base in Alaska I have and their faces stick out like a sore thumb. Camo works great.
