Ayindi Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Hi, I'm currently thinking about getting a FFB Joystick for the Huey to have a realistic Trim. Which would you recommend? The Stick from Microsoft or the G940? I must say that I already have the MFG Crosswind paddels and a HOTAS Warthog so I just need the FFB Stick. I tend more to buy the G940 since it simply has more buttons... and it seems to have a smaller footprint, but this is not really important. Anything else I should consider? What whould you recommend?
LCYCowboy Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Rich at Komodo was also working on a proper force trim system using magnets. I am waiting with baited breath...............

Go for the MSFFB2 if you can find one. It is basically "the" force feedback stick. Ive tried both and the MSFFB2 is the more precise stick and the motor controls are smoother. (The gear detents are more noticable in the G940). Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.
Ayindi Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks for your input guys. Will go for the MSFFB2 :)
vJaBoG32 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Or may try this solution :-) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2696321#post2696321 With kind regards, Staff of Virtual JaBoG32 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Tim_Fragmagnet Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 What even happens with FFB in the huey when your hydraulics go out? If the cyclic drifts right in game, does your FFB stick drift right as well? If not, what happens if your IRL stick is all the way left, but the ingame stick drifts right. You can't pull left more to counter the drift to the right.
SFC Tako Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 When I started with DCS in late 2014 I had an old MSFFB2 lying around from 2001. So I tried it for DCS (didn't fly anything since 2003 or something) and I was amazed at how well it worked for the Huey :) Now I have two MSFFB2s...for safety :) My Semi-Pro Youtube Channel
nogano00 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 this MFFB2 stick looks awesome I didn't know they had those. Is it compatible with win 10? and how reliable is it? vJaBoG32 Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 The FFB is generate with Gs, Speeds and Acc that strain your A/C or Helicopter. There is no simulation of hydaulic Systems, Trim or Stick Offsets. So whatever positions your Stick ingame has, it´s not affecting the FFB actions. With kind regards, Staff of Virtual JaBoG32 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
