The Valley Campaign is Broken

I give up.

 

I've been trying to play this campaign, restarting a lot, and it's broken.

 

After the first mission, I get some missions out of order. Don't know if that's by design or not. Sometimes the second mission is to destroy the command center/post whatever, and sometimes the second mission is to destroy three T-72 at the abandoned air field.

 

In both cases I'm not getting win states after destroying my targets and I can't get past these missions.

 

I can record videos to show or whatever needed.

Not all triggers, but some are still broken. ED has fixed some in the last release version patch, so I expect they'll get around to fixing them all eventually.

 

As to all campaigns being broken..... I guess it's a matter of which triggers the mission author uses.

I am getting so frustrated with this.

 

I had a really nice lock on a T-72 and as I fire the missile lost lock and went off into never Neverland. Lock again and the same thing.

Same here, no fun playing this campaign.

I'd be really happy if they give this campaign a complete overhaul.

And I would gladly pay for an Ultimate Argument quality A-10A DLC Campaign.

Quite a lot of the FC3 campaigns have been fixed now in the internal versions, definitely this one, they are awaiting release into the wild with a patch release (In ED's hands at the moment).

 

I would be very interested to know the exact issues, so I can double check if they have been dealt with previously.

 

You say you are getting mission complete, so what score are you actually getting is it 100 or less than 50 ???

 

Can't check anything right at the moment, have had a hdd system failure in my gaming rig and I need to totally rebuild my computer system as all of dcsw is affected.

 

Will try to check the fix logs for that campaign and get back to ya.

 

UPDATE: Fixes are now included in default game as of 1.54 OB.

Yes this is by design, each stage after the first mission has two possible mission scenarios as you describe, they are provided on a 50/50 chance at random, No problem their.

Not sure why this doesn't work, logic is fine for scoring, 50 for starting mission and 50 for doing objective.

 

 

• When pressing the ' key next to the enter key, does it show a score of 0, 50 or 100 after you think you have done the mission ????
  
• Do you get the mission complete, you are free to depart message ???
  

 

Just tested in campaign stage 1 > stage 2 > stage 3 progression and worked as advertised.

 

All I can suggest is you try using the DCS repair tool or send a tracks of the missions as played (These are notorious for not working also unfortunately).

For Steam check:

 

1. Right click on DCSW game from steam library
   
2. Left click on PROPERTIES
   
3. Left Click on LOCAL FILES tab
   
4. Left click on VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE and let it scan your game files, (if a problem is found it will say downloading missing or corrupt files)
   
5. Re-run DCSW game campaign and check score 10-30 seconds into mission (should be 50), play game and check score again when you think you have completed the mission by taking out the objectives, command post or tanks depending on what is presented (Should be 100).
   
6. Save a track of mission after you get to the dcsw screen with a break down of who killed what at mission end.
   
7. Post message in forum with track file attached.
