NaCH Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Hey guys, looking for help. I have a intel i5 3570s with onboard intel 2500 that supports DX11. The server has 16gb of ram. I tried install DCS with all the recommended configs "render3d = false" but 1.5 is start and then goes into black screen and "stop" responding. I asked because I want to know if I'm doing something wrong or it will never work with this HW. Thanks.
_Teddy_ Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Not sure what you mean with "onboard intel 2500", but DCS needs DX11 graphics with minimum 2GB video-memory. Do you have it?
Johnny Dioxin Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Not sure what you mean with "onboard intel 2500", but DCS needs DX11 graphics with minimum 2GB video-memory. Do you have it? Not for a quasi-dedicated server it doesn't. My second PC had a GTX560Ti 1GB card and ran 1.2 and 1.5 OB servers no trouble at all. Edit - having said that, I would agree that the graphics chip would be my chief suspect. HiJack Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Edit options to support 1280x1024 as default screen resolution. Edit manually!
blaueente Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I can't see any DirectX Support at all. Unless it's a Laptop throw in a 20$ Graphics Card with DX11 and u're good to go.
xaoslaad Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Intel i3770k with Intel HD 4000 works ok. It runs windowed 1280×1024 with 3d disabled fine. I do not know about 2500.
xcom Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 @NaCH - Make sure you are running the DCS World shortcut and not the DCS World Multiplayer shortcut. Back then when 1.5 was out, everyone ran the Multiplayer shortcut and had the same black screen you are describing, no one understood why it didn't work, but this is all because ED joined it all to one executable. It has DX11 support.. and is not a laptop is a dedicated server in rack in DC in Canada with nothing attached to it... http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005524.html

blaueente Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 U dont need to modify anything. Simply create "autoexec.cfg" in ../Saved Games/DCS/Config/ containing this: options.graphics.fullScreen = false options.graphics.width = 1024 options.graphics.height = 768 options.graphics.render3D = false options.graphics.maxfps = 50 net.download_speed = 1024000 net.upload_speed = 1024000 Modify to your own needs ...

dabomb Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hmm. How about trying to increase the amount of video memory that the integrated graphics is using? It needs to be at least 2GB (preferably 4GB): http://www.pvladov.com/2013/10/increase-intel-hd-graphics-dedicated-video-memory.html Maybe give that a shot?

Thanks I asked the DC vendor support team and the intel GPU has a max 1.7gb for vmem. I think this explain why is not running. Thanks everyone.
