Pikey Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hi Razbam or anyone that knows the RL operation of the radar elevation in the Mirage 2000C. Does the radar attempt to auto stabilise on its set elevation until it reaches vertical gimbal or do changes in aircraft attitude immediately change the radar elevation? For auto stabilise the current basic model of the FC3 version of the F-15C Eagle autostabilises, but it seems to go beyond gimbals as far as I can tell in its modelling. I'm wondering if we will be able to look straight at the ground vertically in a dive and if we need to constantly tune the radar elevation to focus on a particular elevation angle whilst we manouver in pitch. Thanks for your consideraiton :) ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
YoYo Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hi Razbam or anyone that knows the RL operation of the radar elevation in the Mirage 2000C. As I know Mirage 2000C hasn't this option in RL. Radar elevation (ground mapping) is present in M2000D version, not in C. Pikey Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) By elevation i'm talking about pointing up and down. Sorry if its a language thing that confused you. Pikey Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Yes I think that post covers the discussion, I'm not sure if this was definitively answered by Razbam but we assume the radar behaves similarly to the F15 then from that discussion. thanks for the link :) ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
