Hi guys, I would like to know if the old DCS World 1.2 F-15 Training Mission and the Fighter Weapons School will work in DCS 1.5? When I downloaded and installed the two, it created a DCS World 1.2 directory. If they do not work in 1.5, is there a training section being prepared for DCS 2.0. I really hate to buy the F-15C 16-2 Red Flag Campaign without completing some form of basic flight training in the F-15. What are your suggestions?

I would be interested in any responses to williehayesjr's question as I was about to download the Fighter Weapons School for the reasons he has stated.

Thanks as always.

It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D

I know of this user-created campaign for DCS 1.2/1.5.

It is payware, I can't remember the exact amount but I think $5.00. Really well done, and will make you work to earn the qualification. The nighttime ILS landing still enrages me.

Not sure if anyone is creating/updating a training/qualification package for the 2.0 NTTR map, but it would make since considering that is a training range.

Pretty sure they haven't been updated to be compatible with 1.5 beta or 2.0 alpha.

I'd also heavily recommend the F-15 qualification campaign that Jinx linked to. It's payware but very much worth the effort and will make you an all-round better DCS pilot.

I just bought the f15c basic flight training qualifications ($4.99 at http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1509604/) I have yet to get a email with further instructions as well as I am not able to open or unzip the downloaded file. Any suggestions?

It may take the dude a little bit to get back. But he will.

I paid with another e-mail account and the key was sent there, but as soon as he was made aware of the situation he took care of it.

The update they did for the SU-25T and the SU-27 are great, but the new patch nuked the SU-27 training, I think it is back to 1.1 or something.

I really hope they update all their planes as the new training videos are much better than the old ones.

I just installed them. You need to rename the .miz file downloaded to .exe and then run it. Instructions for the (not very simple) installation and licence key process are on the mapleflagmission website.

DCS 2.0 NTTR, EVGA GTX980 Ti Hybrid, 4790k, 16GB, 27" Apple Cinema Display, Thrustmaster HOTAS, Saitek Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 and...Oculus Rift CV1.

Complete noob .

It's probably solved by now, but for future reference: it's easily overlooked, but one has to send a request by email with the PC unique ID to receive the key. On the two campaigns I bought, I had a reply within half an hour (and oops, I sent an email each time, apparently it's only necessary the first time).

To reply to the original question, it's possible to install the training from DCS (you have to click on INSTALL in the training window, after selecting the F-15C). But those are only low-quality videos, there is no interactive training mission with the current 1.5/2.0. The aircraft being simplified to the minimum, I'm not sure it's necessary, the Maple BFT campaign is much more interesting because it's one level higher and is quite demanding - I'm talking about the A-10C BFT but the F-15C looks very similar.
