Wayc00lio Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I've noticed that the Tornado GR4 model is extremely glossy. Its almost like a mirror in some viewing angles. Is this going to be fixed at all? crazyeddie Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Its hard coded into the model or game, unlike some where you can add it as a glossy texture layer. So the answer is I don't think you can remove it. I played around with the GR4 skins ages ago and no matter what I did I could not get that shine to reduce by much at all.
Northstar98 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I've noticed that the Tornado GR4 model is extremely glossy. Its almost like a mirror in some viewing angles. Is this going to be fixed at all? It's most likely one of those things that will be fixed in the future, right now the tornado is by no means one of the AI aircraft with an outdated model or textures (such as the Tu-95, Su-30, Tu-160, B-52, Su-17 etc) but is no way near on par with the more detailed AI Su-24, Tu-22 etc. It kinda sits in the middle, but is definitely one that needs some improving along with the list above Modules I own: F-14A/B, F-4E, Mi-24P, AJS 37, AV-8B N/A, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. Terrains I own: South Atlantic, Syria, The Channel, SoH/PG, Marianas. Wayc00lio Posted February 20, 2016 Author Posted February 20, 2016 So its a model shader problem? Are these models exportable in Maya (for example)? If so, then they should be able to be amended and imported back into DCS. Or is this not how it works?
