Great, thanks Matt.

EDIT: I am using a purchased install. Only had time to fly the 1st mission, "Red Flag Arrival". Had no problems.

Dear all,

It looks like it will be another week before we can roll out the updated campaign files as part of the next 2.0 update. So, in the meantime, I've placed the updated A-10C 16-2 RF campaign files in a Drop Box folder that you can use to manually update your campaign files.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/al8gxdh8xvdq9l3/A-10C%2016-2%20RF%2019FEB2016.zip?dl=0

I have not tested this, but the .miz files should work with purchased installs.

Thanks

Thanks for the update! :)

I'm looking at mission 3, that I postponed until an update.

I see in the mission briefing pp. 5 that only two orbit locations are shown instead of 4, is that on purpose? The BE coordinates look weird when comparing with the map, maybe I got it wrong though, I haven't launched the mission yet to confirm that.

Also, still inconsistencies in push time in briefing and map, I suppose push time is 1618L.

The North airfield that the SA-11 are protecting (well, at least one of them) is at BE300/10, isn't that ~BE360/10?

EDIT: Also saw in the briefing pp. 6 instructions to descend to 8000' MSL for SP7, instead of 6400 in the data card.

Regarding the map, could anyone confirm the scale / distances? From the SA-11 range, I suppose the black squares have 10-nm edges, the marks being 1-nm apart? It seems not to match some of the briefing's descriptions though. Or are those miles? (then it would be different SA ranges - I'm using 17.3 nm for SA-11 and 25 nm for SA-10)

I'll try this out as soon as I get my new Video Card up and running. Thanks Wags!

Still in mission 03, Uzi, Colt, Dodge and Ford never take off. I can only see the tankers (Shell and Texaco), the AWACS and Chevy 1 & 2, plus the reaper.

Checking in with Enfield 8 does not provide any tasking (nothing to do, you can depart).

Am I missing something?

Also, is it possible than the briefing still contains the previous document's content? It doesn't match the current one (enemy CAP, Dodge TOT, group frequency, take-off time, ...).

Each time, once I abort the mission, I'm back to mission 02. In the logbook, missions 01, 02 and 03 are there, and a fourth entry with stage=2. Strange. Is that a known issue or do I have to report it somewhere?

UPDATE: Tried another time today and I confirm, the other aircraft never take off.

In the "official" version of this mission (2.0.1.49921.15), the whole flight takes off, not sure what changed.

Guess I'll wait for the 'official' release.

Yeah, got to mission 3, and no other elements of the strike package took off. The existing F-15 CAP flights and AWACS/Tankers that were already airborne are present, but nothing else. I looked at both the old mission 3 and the new updated one from the dropbox link Wags posted.

All flights at Nellis have "UNCONTROLLED" checked in the aircraft object menu (rendering them unmanned), and the entire trigger list was empty in both mission versions, old and new. I'm sure there needs to be at least some triggers there. Further, the strike package aircraft on Nellis have "Start" in the AI actions tab, but since there is no triggers in the triggers list to tell them to start, they never will. Also the trigger zone list is empty, in case there were supposed to be zones present in this mission.

On a hunch, I looked through around eight of the other A-10 Red Flag missions, some of the old, some of the new ones from Wags' dropbox. And none of the ones I looked at had any triggers, and all aircraft at Nellis were checked "UNCONTROLLED"...:noexpression:

Darn, I was delighted to read about the update, but it seems it needs some more fixes (I had postponed the campaign at mission 3 as well).

[...] and the entire trigger list was empty in both mission versions, old and new.

That seems to be the case with all payware campaigns, my guess is that it has to do with the copy protection. Maybe that's also what causes the current problems with the new version Wags linked, but I don't know that for sure. In any case, an empty trigger list in payware campaign files appears to be normal.

Ah I see. That would make sense. That being the case, I have no idea what could possibly be the cause. But I can at least confirm I'm having a similar issue with the mission 3 from Wags dropbox link.

Me too. In fact mission 4 was the same.

Just restarted the updated campaign and in mission 1 the voice-overs are now missing and i don't get a mission success after landing in nellis anymore. Am I missing something (tried the old mission 1 again and it worked fine)?

I guess it's time to shelve this until they work out all the bugs.
