9th Airforce Recruiting Now

www.af-cc.com/9AF/default.asp

For all professional, mature and dedicated virtual pilots, the 9th Airforce are now seeking new recruits.

We currently operate two squadrons available for enlistment,
  1. 75th Fighter Squadron - A10 - Operated by 9thAF_Mac
  2. 334th Fighter Squadron - F15 - Operated by 9thAF_Dablin

Alongside our web forums, we also have our own Teamspeak, and by the end of this week we should also have our own dedicated online lock-on server. We are also in the process of registering our own domain name, www.9thairforce.com but that is still in process.

We also have our own dedicated Instructor Pilot (9thAF_Shots), who has through his vast experience and knowledge of the F-15 and online simming, provided bootloads of helpful information and a proper training regime that all pilots (including myself) are required to go through.

Please come in and check us out, joining is optional, even if you just come in and say hello we will be greatly appreciative.

=Salute= and good luck in your virtual battles

Dablin

EDIT: Correction - 75th Fighter Squadron, not 7th

I have already passed my ASVABs now if your guys are going to be a pain becuase I left then fine, you may do so, becuase thats what it seems to me. And I am also still involved with my Recruiter from Mcguire AFB Srgt. Juan, and I am going to take a tour in a few weeks at Nellis, Laughlin, and Langley. I have already applied for my 3 possible job applicants at these three, and after this school year, in July I will be starting, for all you smart asses out there... And my "vast" exp could come from friends or even my uncle who is in the AF but hey who knows, if your just going to sit here and Mock him then be asses. S!

Nobody's mad at you for quitting .. it's a free world. Our only concern is the security of our manual and our training program which were both designed long before you joined our group. We worked very hard on both and do not wish to see them distributed to any other squadron without our consent.

Ok, so you've taken your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery - that's great! So what ENLISTED position are you applying for? What will you be doing as an AIRMAN BASIC (for those of you with an army bent, that's PRIVATE). Now if you said you passed your Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) while in COLLEGE, then, went to Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB, Alabama, then graduated and went to Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (JSUPT) at Laughlin AFB, TX or Columbus AFB, MS, Vance AFB, OK, Sheppard AFB, TX, graduated & THEN got accepted to Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) at Moody AFB, GA THEN I'd say that you have the right to say that you're in "fighter school."

So, you're planning to take a base tour of Langley AFB, VA, Laughlin AFB, TX, and Nellis AFB, NV - well that's pretty far from NJ. Hope you've got some money saved for the plane tickets.:P Go up to the security police at the gate and ask for a pass for the base  & see how far that will get ya!

Perhaps if your "vast" experience in the F-15 comes from your uncle, then perhaps you should get him to train you guys. :book:

For God's sake man, how old are you? Because you're acting your age:pilotfly:

Impersonating someone who flys and fights for his/her country is just bad form....:(

Maybe his recruiter sold him on the AECP gig...which is DEFINITELY not an overnight solution if you want to fly. His recruiter must have a pretty good budget, about the only tour I ever got was a repeated tour of Lowry AFB every time I went to a DEP meeting. :megalol:

What route did you go, Rhen? AFA, OTS, ROTC?

I'm gonna show my age now... I was a 90 day wonder when OTS was at Medina Annex. Was there in the summer and lost 10lbs the first week in just sweat. Man, I've got respect for you guys over at Lackland - we had a tour of BMTS and that was fun for us since we could go back to OTS afterward!;)

Texas all the way - then to Reese AFB for UPT, which is closed as well. :(

AECP would be the long hard road. College was fun! Plus I didn't have to put up with ROTC stuff.

I was at Lackland in summer too, but I gained a few pounds since they put me on the "stick boy" program. Our first, introductory PC was on the asphalt drill pad at 14:00...WBGT 105 :helpsmilie: ...we all had burn blisters on our hands for a few days. That was my first experience with how much it stings when your own sweat gets in your eyes.

I had to run through the chow line twice at every meal...AND...still get out with the rest of my flight. I STILL somehow managed to never be the last to finish at my table. Being last was bad, it meant you were the guy who had to clear the table and bring everything to The Clipper. The Clipper wasn't so bad, it was having to walk past the Snake Pit to get there that sucked. Did it once...and said, "never again." :D

Anyway, I toured Langley once... so, uh, when do I get my wings?

Pre or post 9/11?

Sitting & eating in a military manner... :megalol:

Then marshalling up on the drill pad outside the chow hall and marching around...

Ah, the good ol' days :megalol:

"Alright ladies! Quick and quiet...kill your chow then get the f*** out of my dining hall!"

I did some contract work for the Army on a C-26 at Buckley AFB post 9-11, and everywhere I went I had to have an escort. Well...a phone call in the hangar office separated me and my escort for just a few minutes. I faced the business end of an A2 that day. That SP was friggin' HUGE too, he didn't need that rifle, one punch from that guy and I would have been down for the count.

Oh...we got it all worked out...and I continued setting up my equipment and proceeded to certify the C-26. Man that Druck test box the Army loaned to me was friggin' awesome. I finally got my boss to buy a similar model.

Oh...to show my age. I was at Lackland when OTS was still at Medina Annex (right across the Military Highway, IIRC), four years before they moved it, in fact. ;)

When I was at Lackland .. it was the old school where men were men ! They once made us jog a mile and a half ... and only gave us 2 days to complete it in ! Marines ain't nothin ! OOOORRRRRRAAAAAHHHH

Definitely pre-911. 1998 back when I was part of an Air Cadet sqdn here (at the ripe young age of 13). First time being up close and personal with a real fighter was with a Langley F-15, although I'll admit, they didn't let us very close ;).

Anyway, thanks to the experience I'm pretty much a fighter pilot now. I'm glad I don't have to go ahead and prove myself during years of service. I might go write the aptitude test for the RCAF just to seal the deal, who knows, if I do GrayGhost will probably give ME an IP slot! :P

Edit: Rhen can you confirm that spelling and grammar are NOT on the ASVAB?

Rhen might not be able to confirm that, since he's an officer, but I can. Grammar and spelling are not on the ASVAB, its all multiple choice, and the closest you come to worrying about grammar and spelling is for your AF AD score. That's where I choked...but just a little...my AFQT was still 98. :D
