Any advice as to how I could fix this horrible noise would be greatly appreciated.

Or maybe a good way to make SAITEK'S customer service e-mails, tickets or phone calls

So MADCATZ sent me an R.M.A'd x-55 after mine broke only 6 months in use.

1. You can hear the squeak with this "brand new" one after it was shipped in an egg-box like packaging

2. I've sent them both throttle and stick but... got back only this wrecked stick instead after over 2 months of silence from customer rep. They have FORGOTTEN to include the throttle and joystick springs

3. For anyone reflecting on buying a unit - you will get crap in a box. An expensive Chinese made box wit NO customer service, NO quality AND a premium price mark-up.

4. I should have bought a THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG and be done with it..... :-(

Wrong forum section, should be in Input and Output :)

I've not had great experiences with Saitek's customer support. To their credit they were pretty quick with answers to my questions, I just ended up going around in circles until I gave up with them and found a handy post on the Star Citizen forums about my particular issue.

I'd keep on at Saitek support, and even send them the video. Sending you back a stick sans throttle is just daft. Certain seems as if yours is broken as well.

Personally, I disagree with your Point 3, as I think it's a just about okay stick for the price point. Certainly could be better though.

I'm not going to argue with you regarding QC or customer service or pricing or all that. *DEFINITELY* not going to argue with you re: geetting the TM Warthog.

*BUT* I can address the squeaking issue.

(1) Get some (plastic, electronic, not powder-based) *SAFE* lubricant, such as CRC 2-26 Multipurpose Precision Lubricant.

(2) Spray on shaft and balls. On the joystick, I mean. Don't flood the thing: be sparing and reserved. But make sure you get the spring surfaces, as well as the inside and underside and topside of the collars etc. (especially the disk-like collar at the bottom of the shaft: its underside is one of the main squeaking culprits), and the inner/main shaft that is wrapped by the spring/collar.

(3) Profit. No more squeaking, and buttery smooth precision.

Froogle's solution combined with the solution in the video below for the rudder squeaking, fixed all squeaking, for me at-least.
