Hydrox Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 (edited) Haven't touched any sound files of A-10. Edit: That was very helpful thank you. Edited March 5, 2016 by Hydrox
Gliptal Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Is the helmet option on? It highly dampens external noise.
Hydrox Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 No. I'm aware of its function, I don't use it. to quote myself: Other modules have no problems.
Feuerfalke Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Had this problem, too, unless I found a good post in the bug-section. Apparently with the previous patch the soundsystem switched to surround-output if a surround-system was detected, disregarding what speakers where connected or what the systems settings were. So in effect, if you are use a stereo-device on a system with surround-renderer, you only hear the front-speakers. Thats why engines on the A10 and most other jets seems extremely silent in the cockpit (engines behind you) and comparably loud from the outside (aircraft in front of you). The bug is simply most obvious in the A10, but after the fix I found the difference in the other jets as well. Reconnecting audio-device was one hint. In my case, I had to disable HDMI-Soundsystems as well. Hydrox Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 Ok, thank you very much Feuerfalke. That's very weird, my sound settings are normal stereo, so I don't know how it could detect surround.
stefaanadriansens Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 set all sounds at 100 percent especialy the master , then close the game , the right click in lower right corner on that white speaker , click on play divices , highlight speakers , and click on configure , the left , then hit ok ok ok and then when i launched dcs , it olmost blew up my speakers and i have the enginesound again , lower the volume in windows , becose if you lower the master sound ingame then the quality drops. :pilotfly: i7-920, 12 GB DDR3 1600, Gigabyte x58 ud3r, Gigabyte GTX 970 OC, 2x500GB SSD+1x250ssd, TrackIR 5 clip, screen 42 inches, and 21 inches, Thrustmaster Warthog throttle and stick,t500rs,th8 shifter, Saitek Pro throttle, x controller, G11 keys
