LcSummers Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Hi, i have seen photos of the A-10C with a plain tail under the rear formation light. Some like the A-10C in DCS are different. What is that (round) thing under the formatin light? In the modern Warthog guide i cant find any notes of that thing. Thanks for any infos S!
Vitormouraa Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Are you talking about the MWS on the tail, or the Radar altimeter on the vertical stabilizer? SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
LcSummers Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 Hi, my interest is the second photo, above and below the nav lights. Thanks
EasyEB Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Yeah, those are a part of the Missile Warning System (MWS). You will find the same looking sensors on the wing tips. Read more here: http://warthognews.blogspot.com/2009/10/new-warning-system-has-been-identified.html
Vitormouraa Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Those sensors are the AN/AAR-47, the MWS. As you can see on link the EasyEB sent. SplashOneGaming Discord https://splashonegaming.com
