SuperKungFu Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Sorry about my previous thread about "X-52 noob question." Once i hit the submit buttton my internet screwed up or something and the thread is no longer valid. And i can't delete it so if the admin see that, you can delete it. Anyway back to my real questions 1.) How do you switch into the pinkie modes? I assigned it as the shift function in the SST program, when I press the pinkie it does say shift on the MFD and I continue to hold it down and select the mode, once I let go of the pinkie, the shift word disappears and I’m back in my original 3 modes. So I want to know how do you get into the 3 additional modes and how to get back out to the original 3. 2.) Is there a way to change the function of the pinkie key. For example it says it has to be a shift key in order to use the 3 additional modes, but I also want it to be a button as well and use it to change the additional modes, is that possible? For example, instead of shift, I want it to be ctrl, and that key function- once it is held down and the modes change, it can also act as the jump to the 3 additional mode. Hope this makes sense. zaelu Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I think you need to keep it pressed to stay in that mode. Once you relese it it will return to the previous mode. bogusheadbox Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Yep you have to keep pinky depressed in order to activate the mode + pinky As for your second question. I am not sure that is possible. You can make your X-52 do Macro's or a series of clicks. E.g. "comms button" then "control tower" then "request for take off" in order to get take off clearance at the push of a button. But lock on seems to dislike multiple and simultaneous keypresses where those keys are mapped to different actions. But you could give it a go to see how it works. All you need to do is assign the second button (for this example to SPACE). Then when programming in the SST software click on the button space where you wish to assign your keystrokes. Then whilst holding shift down, click on the space bar. You should end up with a config that looks like this SHIFT+SPACE. That will mean, whenever you press that button you will get the same features of pressing the SHIFT key and SPACE key simultaneously. Like i said, i think lomac has difficulty in this area, but nothing is stopping you from trying it out. But with the option of 6 different modes, are you sure you need more ... Fwoooaar.
