I have probably hit a wrong button without knowing it but, when I hit "Fly" for the 109K, all I get is a map, and I can't get out of it. It makes no difference if it is instant action, campaign, whatever.

What did I do?

Thanks,

badfinger

Yes, I'm logged in. This just happened yesterday. Everything was fine, until then.

Do you have the 109 installed via the module manager, and is it activated?

if so please attach your whole logs folder zipped from your saved games/ dcs folder and your autoupdate_log from the main install, it may give us some clues

a guide can be found in my signature

Doesn't Alt F1 toggle cockpit?

F2 and F3 are working, but F1 isn't.

sorry to be a pain, could you ensure the me.log and dcs.log which is inside the logs folder is included, it seems to be missing.

Also the autoupdate_log.txt from you install location

this will help me determine if the module is installed correctly

OK thanks,

we can see you have it installed.

Download the attached mission, it is just a bf109 ramp start. place the mission in

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Missions

start dcs up and select the mission from the list ingame.

Let me know if you can enter it ok or not.

If not close dcs, navigate to C:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\bin

and make sure your 109 is activated with the Bf109K4_protect.exe

OK. Here is what I found out.

After loading the mission, and clicking "Fly", I again saw the map, but got out of that by hitting "Escape". This gave me a close up of the grass at the airfield. After zooming out, I could see the airfield, and rotate the view. F1 did not work, but F2 and F3 did. I had no control of the a/c, and could only watch the taxi, take-off, and landing as a spectator.

I then exited, and went to the your second step and found the 109 had been activated. It asked me if I wanted to activate again and, just to be safe, I said "Yes".

This made no difference, when I went back to your mission or when I tried the 109 again in "Instant Action". I tried other a/c I have in "Instant Action" and "Mission", and found no problems with them, at all.

The three glaring problems I see are: F1 does not work, I have no control, even in F2 and F3 for the 109, and hitting "Fly" doesn't take me to inside the cockpit, but to the map.

BTW, when I am in the map, I can see a/c icons moving. So, the mission is running, just without me.

The symptoms you are providing still point to activation problems.

Please use the 109 reg deactivation on this page https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/564/#1780273

you will lose one activation but do not worry

Then please reactivate the module and let me know how you got on.

navigate to C:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\bin

and make sure your 109 is activated with your purchased key using the Bf109K4_protect.exe
