Trubshaw Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Does anybody know how to zoom out further than the default? Yes I have tried the numpad snap view zoom....not far enough back. For the Mig 21 you need to edit a lua file. Does anybody know where the value for the zoom limit is on the L 39? Cheers [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-
Akki Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I can zoom in my L-39C cockpit in and out with Numpad / and Numpad * keys. I have not edited any files. Win 8.1, I7 4770K 4.5ghz watercooled, 240gb SSD in Raid 0, 16GB DDR3-2400, EVGA GTX780 watercooled, LG 29EA73-P (2560x1080) Cobra M5 *modded by BRD*, CH Pro Throttle, Pro Combat Pedals, TrackIR5 Pro + Delanclip, Bose QC 15, TM Cougar MFD's 300/30 mbps
Trubshaw Posted April 6, 2016 Author Posted April 6, 2016 Thanks Akki. I have tried that but it simply will not zoom out far enough. I have three monitors and I want the cockpit to fill the middle monitor with the other two showing peripheral vision. Other modules have .lua scripts that can be edited in order to limit /extend zoom. I simply cannot find the correct file for this pit. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 6, 2016 ED Team Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) Trub you should be able to adjust the default FOV in the lua go to DCS World\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Views.lua ( make a backup just incase and have a play around with it, use notepad++) I will have a go later, and try and catch you on TS or FB :) Edited April 6, 2016 by BIGNEWY Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Trubshaw Posted April 6, 2016 Author Posted April 6, 2016 Ok and thanks to BIGNEWY. Sorted it without any fps change. Changed line 3 "CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000}" from 140 to 190 Now I can see all critical instruments and the hud in the same view. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] TrubshawRN -=SHREK 94=-

Chipwich Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 If you use JOY_SLIDER2 on the TM Warthog throttle, you can just go to AXIS TUNE, set it as a slider, then move the Curvature in/out to suit for the mid point position. I usually go -10 on most aircraft. L-39 setup attached. R7 5800X3D / 64GB / VPC T-50 CM2 Base / CM3 Throttle with TM Hornet Grip / Ace Flight Pedals / RTX 4080 Super / Meta Quest Pro
JAPman Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 local playerSnapViews = { [13] = head_pos_default({ viewAngle = 90.000000, }),--default view } DCS World\Mods\aircraft\L-39C\Views.lua I finally figured it out! Using TrackIR Assign device rotary to Zoom Axis and specify slider. JAPman Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 (edited) Correction. The above addition to Views.lua in L-39 seems to remove the MAX FOV limitation for now, but it is difficult to set it the way you want. If I export SnapViews.lua to Saved Games\DCS\Config\View with RAlt+num0 and change viewAngle and vAngle in [13](default view) of L-39C/ZA, those settings seem to live. It is a bit complicated.
