Hi,

How do I make an AI aircraft(on CAP or SEAD) continuously orbit a waypoint, until I set a Flag to TRUE?

I have already tried using Perform Task > Orbit until [sTOP COND.] Flag is TRUE.

But as soon as the AI detects a threat(even at long range) it moves away from the waypoint and starts to engage on its own.

Anyone? :helpsmilie:

Hey,

At WP0 set "Options -> ROE -> weapons hold", then set up the orbit task at waypoint and make sure that there is another task set up afterwards (be it next waypoint or engagement).

My approach is:

  • Disable the the first advanced waypoint commands SEAD -a -x and CAP -a -x for each flight
  • After the waypoint with the ORBIT command or at a point when you want them to start looking for targets, put in a search and engage command with your engagement range and type of targets or a Search in zone advanced waypoint command and set the radius and type of targets to engage.
