Actually, Ref pilots smoking in cockpit, I was in a CF 18, 700 series in Cold Lake Alberta awhile back, m,y friends an AVN Tech there. The jet I was in was flown by an Italian exchange officer, and yes, he had an ashtray in there, and a few cigareete butts down by the rudder pedals.

man! I have been asking for immersiveness in this sim for sooo long. The cigeratee thingy can be considered to be icing on the cake. However, I do agree like stuff like new explosions, NEW BULLET IMPACT effects (NOTICE THE VIDEO PART WHERE THE KA-50 uses its cannon against the armored vehicle, there is a mushroom cloud for nearly every bullet impact...THAT really requiers some attention from the developers....we really need broken metal and sparks instead of explosions), and most of all speedtree + soldiers or infantry in-game.

I noticed from inside the cockpit the cannon looked like it

 

had improved bullet impacts. (maybe I was hallucinosis?)

 

Some of the exterior shots for other helecoptors firing cannons

 

looked improved also.

 

Since we are going to be working so much closer to

 

our targets I for one would like to squeeze the cannon trigger

 

and like Russell Crowe said "UNLEASH HELL"

 

That would be so relaxing don't you think ?

The shaking in the cockpit when firing missiles was edited in.

 

 

However for fairness' sake, I'm quite certain I recall some sort of recoil effect when launching rockets.

Half way in you see the vehicle rapid fires and the traces begin bouncing. Thats an effect that would look so sweet in Lockon.
