How to install George W Bush aircraft carrier

I want to install the George W Bush aircraft carrier. But I'm not sure how to do it any help please

Found the post. I see DCS, Mods, But no Tech. Where would that be?

The tech folder sits in the mods folder, but isn't always there. just create one, taking care to stick to the exact naming convention (all lower case), and then add the mod.

Okay but how do I install

First you need to unzip it using winzip, winrar, or similar decompression software.

 

Next, just place the George Bush folder into the tech folder you created.

 

As long as the USS George H. W. Bush CVN-77 folder just contains folders called Doc, Shape, and TEXTURES along with a couple of lua files, it should work.

 

To use it, you need to add it to a mission using the mission planner in DCS World.

i got the mod from the VFA-113 STINGERS.

But after the update to 1.5.7 every time i try to load a mission with this mod DCS crashes.

 

Start in the air works, but if i try to land -> crash

Starting on deck -> crash in the loadscreen

 

have anybody a workaround?

Don't know your specifics.

 

In the past, my experience, new updated patches, every time, the path changes. So for me, I always use JSGME to install / uninstall my mods. I have to manually re-write the folders / sub-folders pathway layout to get each mod to work for each aircraft. With any luck, hopefully the end files in .lua or whatever has not changed. If it has, then I do a forums search per each creator and see what's new on his end.

 

I see my older mods I was recently using are not working in 1.5.7 . So, rinse and repeat as above!

Unfortunately the mod is broken with the 1.5.7 patch. We have frozen our installs at 1.5.6 for using that mod.

 

Good news though is that ED is working on the carrier code so that's a good sign we are getting closer to the Hornet release.

Some compares to the new luafile from the vinston and the Kuznetsov.

a bit of luck.

 

put this two files in the mod Directory (override one), load the game and have fun.

 

so improvements can be made, but for now it works

 

Now we can land on the carrier again: :pilotfly:
