mj3437 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I'm just trying to get familiar with the kneeboard. I've never used it and thought I should learn how it works. I only play single player and would just like to see my position on it instead of having to go to the F10 map. In controls it has the on/off choices and different pages that change the view area, and 10 that are jump to shortcut#. what are these shortcuts and how do I use the kneeboard? The manual has nothing about this. Thanks, MJ msi Z170A MB, i7-6700k @ 4.0GHz, 32GB DDR4 GeForce GTX 970 4GB, Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB Acer Predator Z271, 650w PSU, Corsair Carbon500R, MS FFB 2
Wop-Actual Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Kneeboards are only static images, mostly related to the mission you are playing and the AO you are operating in. It should also include airfield information. Thus, you will not see your position on the map as it is not real-time. It basically mimics real-life kneeboards pilots can have on their thigh or dashboard. Here's a great thread on customizing kneeboards: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=129341
Weta43 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 you will not see your position on the map as it is not real-time You won't see yourself moving on the map, you can however have the map display a marker showing your current position and heading at any time. You can scroll between maps of the various parts of your entered route, and also the larger area and airfields Cheers.

Art-J Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I seem to recall Right Ctrl+K was the default shortcut for the marker, You'll have to check it in the options or during gameplay though. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Weta43 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Sorry - I posted from work - can't remember the default keys, and I have then mapped to my HOTAS... Cheers.

zacklaws Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Question from me, I also have all my kneeboard functions mapped to my joystick and after some hectic CAS I can end up with a load of marks on the map,is it possible to clear these marks when you end up with loads of unwanted one?
