hi.

can someone please tell me how to use the HMS to lock enemies and kill them.

at the moment I put the HMS over a target. then I press the 'uncage Shkval'.

this this does not get a lock. it moves the shkval to where I pressed the 'uncage Shkval'.

then I look at the Shkval, move the picture until the enemy is in the middle of the screen.

then I press the 'lock button' and the 'TA' appears telling me I have a lock and can fire.

Is that correct ?

Yes. The HMS simply gets your shkval in the area of the target. You still need to manually designate and lase the target once you place the reticle on the intended target.

With some practice this becomes a pretty quick series of actions. I prefer to use auto turn-to-target and 'manual' instead of 'auto' weapons authorization.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

It's acting correctly. Fun little tidbid about it though, you can use the cannon as a HMS weapon just like with the AH-64 if you hold down the uncage button while looking about. The gun will follow the camera which in turn follows your head with only a slight delay. You can shoot while doing this. It isn't very accurate for obvious reasons, but it has its uses in close quarters.
