I haven't had any problems with the Gazelle (except for flying it !) until after installing yesterday's update.

I have twice now tried starting the chopper using the correct procedures and both times the Engine as Exploded (blown) during the process within a few seconds of the Rotor Blades starting to turn.

I have attached both Track Files.

Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on ?

Are you on the 1.5.3 open beta or normal release?

During the start up, you need to move the fuel level until rotors spin, then wait! Watch the RPM gauge and wait for the rotors to synch with turbine. Then slowly move fuel lever forward. If you just push it forward all the way, engine will blow up. It's more realistic this way.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using the 1.5.3 Open Beta (for some reason ?).

I agree with your assessment of the Fuel Lever, but I haven't done anything different here than I did before. So I can only assume this is new from the Update ?

But I probably did throttle up a bit slower before. I'm not sure but I'll definitely give it a try and pay more attention to the Turbine RPM's.

Thanks again.

Having same exact issue... and I use the beta as well.

Close Doors (RCTRL-C)

UV Lighting Rotator - FULL ON

Battery - ON

Alternator - ON

Generator - ON

Position Lights - FLASH

Fuel Pump - ON

Clock - Chronometer - On (20 Seconds then hit reset)

Starter Select - ON (Wait for 25 RPM)

Rotor Brake Lever - UP

Fuel Flow Lever - > 25ish % (Page Up) -- Wait until Engine RPM and Rotor RPM match before continuing

NOTE: AT THIS POINT I Get to about 30k RPM on the gauge maybe a little more, and then when the rotor RPM is synced up. I move on to the next step

Fuel Flow Level - 100% (Page Up)

Engine goes boom roughly 5 - 10 seconds after starting page up to 100% Fuel Flow.

One of the updates adds turbine damage, so it is more important to carefully increase the fuel lever instead of jamming it open. Gradually increase it, making sure the rotor needle stays synched with the turbine needle.

I have no problems at all doing it that way.
