Removing F7 descent menu in existing mission

Hello,

 

I made a multiplayer online mission recently that is quite big, but I tried using the EMBARK TO TRANSPORT function in the beginning which gives the F7 DESCENT MENU option to pickup troops.

 

This function is bugged and causes massive lag for 30 seconds and then DCS crashes, I found threads about this.

 

Now I use CTLD and no problems anymore.

The only issue is, that after removing all troops related to when I used EMBARK TO TRANSPORT, I still get the F7 menu option in the mission and of course people try that menu option which causes DCS to crash.

 

So how do I remove this option completely without having to remake the whole mission?

Like I said, it's a mission I have worked on a long time and it's a waste of time to redo it.

Is there a line in the mission file somewhere I can remove to prevent this from happening?

I just can tell you that sometimes the ME "remember what you did..." so, sometimes, it is better to redo the mission.

Only just started playing with the embark and disembark commands, But I think you may have missed removing the said commands from the aircraft / helo you were using to do the transports.

 

 

• Remove the troops with their embark and disembark advanced waypoint commands which specify the pickup / drop off zone.
  

 

• Remove the Helo / Aircraft groups embark advanced waypoint command, the one were you define the distribution to each helo / aircraft.
  

That should do it.

I should have said as well that it does not show up always.

I already removed everything remotely related to these functions.

 

But yeah.... I am not happy if I have to redo the whole thing....

 

I still hope for another way to fix it, so hopefully some one else has another idea :helpsmilie:
