Hummingbird Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Is there any possibility we might see this helicopter simulated for DCS in the near future? Or is simulating the 1990's or early 2000's version of the weapons systems carried by this aircraft simply off limits for the time being? 1

This question is being asked since the Ka-50 was released - or maybe even longer. If that trend is at least remotely indicatory, then the answer must be a simple .... Nope.
MikeMikeJuliet Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I believe it was one of VEAO's streams or a post or something, where they said they wanted to make a version of the Apache, but apparently it was too costly since Boeing (holding the rights to the thing) wanted too high a cut from the profits VEAO would make out of it... I believe this was talked about by Ells on one of their streams just a month back, but I'm not 100% sure. In any case, the helo is not going to be developed in the near future. Shame, since that would be one of the rare helicopters I have any interest in at the moment. DCS Finland | SF squadron

VEAO was developing some Apache stuff for the military but underlying a NDA so all these nice things won't see the public light.
