docWilly Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Since one of the last updates on 1.5 my ADF needle stopped working though the tone (of the ADF) is still present. This is not a post about the reported FM homing issue. Aircraft systems are set up correct as per manual (and I know that because it worked earlier on 1.5 and 2.0). ADF freq is dialed in, you can hear the correct tone signal but the needle does not point to the emitter. It moves out of "standby position" and then stays centered with the heading the helicopter is pointing to. This refers to land based ADF emitters as well as to "downed pilots ADF" (i.e. on MP). Checked with Gazelle...ADF is working correct there. Anyone else having this issue? docWilly Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 OK, so far nothing new. 1. tested with absolutely no mods 2. default DCS 1.5. latest version 3. uninstalled the Huey and re-installed it 4. repair of DCS 1.5 - no joy Still the same issue as described above - and only with the Huey. Anyone? Help is highly appreciated. msalama Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Anyone else having this issue? Well my Huey ADF receiver is still fine, but the Mi-8 set is not. It picks up the map default ADF/NDB stations OK, but no user-made transmitters show up on the homing dial anymore. You can tune them in, get the audio and the signal strength gauge indicates there's a carrier on, but the homing needle stays immobile no matter what you do! I tried this with AM & FM modes both (although the correct modulation mode should be AM), but neither works. Is it just me, or did a recent update break something? I'm running the most recent v1.5b, so it _is_ a beta admittedly. Hmmm... The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.

I'm running the most recent v1.5b, so it _is_ a beta admittedly. Hmmm... That´s what exactly happend with my Huey. It began with map default ADF/NDB working well but not the user-made transmitters and couple of days later (and I guess it was after one of the recent updates) the map default were gone on the Huey as well (DCS Version 1.5 beta up to date). What drives me crazy is the fact that other a/c do them recieve fine and without issues. docWilly Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Gents, with the latest update on 1.5.3 beta the ADF started to work as intended again. As I did not alter the Huey at any time (apart Skullz Huey sound Vers 2.5....and of course tested without this sound mod as well) I have to guess that in some of the earlier updates something was messed up. Resumeé: it works again, issue resolved for the time beeing [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]my rig specs: i7-4790K CPU 4.50GHz, 32GB RAM, 64bit WIN10, NVidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti, SSD+ A10C, UH-1H, M2C, F5E, Gazelle, KA 50, F18C, DCS 2.5x OB
J3tBl4st Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 ADF Still not working! Hello All. I bought the Huey with great anticipation and excitement along with the Argo Campaign. Excitement is fast turning into annoyance, frustration and burning anger. When will these bugs be sorted? 50% of each mission depends on ADF navigation. I found myself on the first mission flying for nearly an hour chasing the needle in the wrong direction. And again now in mission 2 the needle keep pointing me out to sea. Fortunately I knew where Kobulati is and had to get there using dead reckoning. The autopilot also keeps turning when set to level flight. Either sort these bugs, or allow the return and reimbursement of broken modules.
nessuno0505 Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 By watching at your pictures it seems that your radio compass indicator is not synchronized with your magnetic compass. You have to keep the annunciator window between the "+" and the "dot" symbols, as long as you keep your MAG/DG switch on MAG (assuming it works as intended).
