  1. Hello. I have just bought and installed the "update" to the A10C II. I am having some issues selecting it though. It shows up side by side with the old A10C at the bottom of the screen, but when I go to "Training", "Campaign" or any of those options, I only see the old A10C, and that is all it loads even when running the Startup training. I know it is the old one, as the cockpit is pristine, and I have checked in the advanced settings on the A10C II, and the Dirty Bird Texture is selected. Am I missing something. I have restarted DCS after installation, but no change. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards J3tBl4st.
  2. Not using a HUB, but will try switching USB ports. Will report back soon. Thanks for the suggestion. Brand new Asus motherboard and Ryzen upgrade though.
  3. Hello all. I have the Thrustmaster T16000M FCS. I have been experiencing a weird issue where specifically my Trigger First Detent, and Modifier buttons stop working intermittently. Trigger much more often. I then have to go into Controller Configuration, unassign, save, reassign and save... the exact same buttons. Trigger works the first time, then stops and I have to go through the whole process again. Any advice/solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards J3tBl4st.
  4. I also have a question on this mission. I've finished the mission second time round manually switching to the Guard channel, since I didn't know how to monitor it. I was googling "how to monitor a third channel" only up in here I saw the "GRCV", and was able to find that in the plane's manual. Other than that... nail biting mission. I hooked up with Texaco with 810 Gallons fuel remaining.
  5. Hello JMarso. The kneeboard is usually the first place I go look, and I am 80% sure I did check, but I won't bet my last nickle on it. If I did miss it, my apologies, I know for a fact I did check the "Raven One Guide" but couldn't find it in there. I could still really use some help with other terminology, especially if it is orders I'm given for the first time. My biggest issue so far is the "incomplete"(?) coordinates on mission 3 when bombing the compound.
  6. Hello Ravens. So, I've been enjoying the Raven One campaign more than any other campaign I've flown thus far. I do have one major issue. I am not aware of any reference material that can help you understand instructions you are receiving for the first time, and that really puts a big dampener on my enjoyment. Like receiving coordinates to drop the J-28 in mission 3. I'm expecting 8 digits and elevation, but only receive 6 digits and no elevation, and even after flying the mission 3 times, the bomb drops just outside the compound in exactly the same location every time. So somewhere I am miss interpreting the information given, or not given all the information. Mission 4 I have to keep a lookout for "Flashlights", great... what's that? I end up pausing the mission, going through the mission briefing again, try Googling it, I couldn't find anything anywhere about what the hell a "Flashlight" is supposed to be, so I don't know what I am looking for. I know now after the mission it was Choppers, but before I found them, I had no idea. The "Raven One Guide" in the "doc" folder of the Campaign would have been a good place to add some insight into understanding instructions. At the very least, I would have expected to get a short piece of text at the top of the screen when I receive new instructions I haven't received before, the second time this would not be necessary, but it would help tons the first time round instead of flying in circles while trying to understand what I was just instructed to do. There are loads of instructions that sound like jibber jabber. Please consider adding onto and expanding the "Raven One Guide". Not even Google can help me understand what's going on here. Regards J3tBl4st.
  7. I've also been using zeros after the given coordinates. I'll give it another try just now. Thanks.
  8. Hello Guys. Been looking all over for some help as the frustration is getting to me. Hoping to finally get an answer here. I'm having an issue on mission 3. I've flown it a dozen times and can't seem to drop the J-28 on target. It consistently falls just beyond the compound wall in the same location every time. Aside from the LAT LON coordinates given, I don't understand the rest of the instructions and can't figure out if he is giving the Elevation somewhere and I'm just missing it. I read the documentation that come with the campaign, but it's basically just a glossary of words. I'm also only given 6 by 6 coordinates instead of 8 by 8, again, not sure if I'm missing something. I even bought the book hoping it will help me understand some of the phraseology. I do like the Idea of reading the book and then flying some missions, it's definitely something new, but I am a bit of a perfectionist and want to complete all the tasks I can by myself, hence re-flying the mission over and over trying to hit the compound myself. But I can't find the missing link, and I would now really like to complete this mission and start moving on... So help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Regards J3tBl4st
  9. Hello all. I don't know if anyone still follows this thread, but I need some assistance so here goes. I am having an issue on Mission 03 dropping the J-82. I input the coordinates as given, I don't know where or if he gives the elevation, I've re-flown the mission a dozen times, and every single time, the bomb drops a couple of meters outside the compound in the exact same spot. Getting a little frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked the documentation in the mission folder, but it only gives a glossary of terms. Nowhere is the format of the coordinate information covered. Hope someone reads and replies to this soon. Kind Regard J3tBl4st
  10. Evidently I'm not the only one thinking DCS is a bit soulless. Without 3rd party developers (which are few) coming out with campaigns, you are stuck with awesome high fidelity planes and nowhere to go. I feel like I'm stuck in the middle of the Sahara with a Buhatti and no roads to drive it on. I am currently trying out the Liberation 2.0 Dynamic Campaign, but even if that turns out great, there is still a lot to be desired as far as Single Player - Game Play goes.
  11. And that's what has me concerned about DCS. Once I bought the planes, I want to be able to do training flights to familiarize myself with the aircraft without having to read a 300+ page manual (I'm too impatient, I want to get in the air and start doing stuff.) then start flying missions, campaigns etc. I'm not a programmer and don't want to spend hours in the Mission Editor to setup missions for myself and go into knowing exactly what is coming. Who would have bought Battlefield 4 and 5 if you were expected to setup your own missions? I don't mind if it is third party, but for pete's sake, bring out some content for these planes. It can greatly extend the lifespan of DCS and the planes if you can get new content, missions etc once in a while.
  12. Maybe not the best description, let me re phrase... Scenarios. Thanks for the provided info, I will look out for those. BTW: I am a real world Private Pilot, and they don't just stick a couple of manuals in your hands and hand you the keys and say go fly. Neither does the Navy... or the airlines. You have an instructor for the first couple of hours before you go solo. The A10C has training missions that walk you through all the different systems. That is comprehencive. People learn in different ways. Some can read a manual, get up and go do it, others like myself, need to physically "see" how something is done, and then I can go out and do it.
  13. Hello All. So I own all these amazing... scratch that AWESOME planes, but find myself almost never doing much more than watching Grim Reapers Tutorials and creating my own single objective missions for training and practice. There are major gaps in the Training that comes with most of these planes, then you try and fly a mission that came with the plane and die minutes in because you still don't have any idea what you are doing. You're limited to one or two mission that released with the plane, no campaigns, no story line... I know some of these are still in early access but... are there eve going to be any proper Training Guides and Campaigns for these planes? It's like building a US$15,000.00 Gaming PC and you can only play PacMan on the thing. Feeling a little frustrated at the lack of content and wishing I could just get a refund and move on. F16, no Campaigns whatsoever. Training... almost nothing that will help in combat. Progress seems about as slow as with Star Citizen. Wondering if I'll ever get to enjoy it before I move to retirement community. The most comprehensive plane I own right now is the A10C. Regards SpeedBirdNam.
  14. Same issue. Finally trying to get a handle on one of the planes. SA shows targets, Targeting Radar... Nothing, even when I am ontop of them. It doesn't even work in the Training Mission that comes with the F18 for the AMRAAM. Yellow triangles at the top, but no bricks to slew and lock on to.
  15. Don't know how you got to that solution, but you did it. Flew that bloody mission six times, and every time, past wpt 3, navigation just quit. You fix worked. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Thank you for the detailed reply, very much appreciated to know that they are working on it and won't be leaving it broken, because from replies I've seen on facebook, BelSimTek was shrugging off most complaints and apparently it has gone on for a while. Unfortunately the quotes in your post don't contain date stamps. Are these recent and ongoing updates? Or are the posts years old? Regards J3tBl4st
  17. I am not bothered by real world limitations as long as they are "Accurate". I am a real world pilot and fly for a VA in X-Plane 11 etc. I prefer "simulation" over arcade style playing any day of the week. I am after "realism". But as stated, the loads far exceed the aircraft's limitation by a 1000 lbs which no pilot in the world in his right mind would ever even consider. And according to real world Huey pilots, this model is way more sissy that the real deal.
  18. I have shared my frustrations with the 3rd mission in the Argo Campaign with a Helicopter Simulation Facebook Group. They said that a number of them have raised concerns with BelsimTek when hearing of changes they (BelSimTek) were making with the Huey, but were being ignored. We are in contact with a number of real world Huey pilots to get precise data on the Huey's real world performance and EGT to take to BelSimTek to get this issue resolved ones and for all. When you start the mission, the Chopper is already 9105 lbs and Max Capacity is 9500 lbs and you still need to Hook 1000 lbs cargo... this is waaaayy beyond max capacity. I nearly have to red line the EGT just to hover high enough to hook the cargo, never mind vertical take of for ground clearance, I have to drag the cargo on the ground to build up speed and lift to not exceed the red line by too much. In flight is OK. But dropping it off on the other side, you again have to red line the EGT to be able to hover the cargo into place to unhook. By that time the engine has concked out. It is next to impossible to complete this mission, not to mention as a "real world" fixed wing pilot, under absolutely "no" circumstance would an aircraft be overloaded with a 1000 lbs of cargo beyond its maximum load capacity. I offloaded about 1000 lbs of fuel to see if that made things any easier, but not really, and arriving at the destination I am nearly at Bingo fuel. Who is going to fix this???? Are the mission creators going to fix their mission? Is BelSimTek going to fix the utter lack in performance as expressed by real world Huey Pilots? Or is DCS going to scrub the broken Huey and refund our purchase?
  19. ADF Still not working! Hello All. I bought the Huey with great anticipation and excitement along with the Argo Campaign. Excitement is fast turning into annoyance, frustration and burning anger. When will these bugs be sorted? 50% of each mission depends on ADF navigation. I found myself on the first mission flying for nearly an hour chasing the needle in the wrong direction. And again now in mission 2 the needle keep pointing me out to sea. Fortunately I knew where Kobulati is and had to get there using dead reckoning. The autopilot also keeps turning when set to level flight. Either sort these bugs, or allow the return and reimbursement of broken modules.
  20. Yeah, my apologies. I logged a support ticket, and they responded within a day. When I had to replicate the issue to send them the track, everything was working fine. Don't know if it was a once of thing, or if I was just over tired and did something wrong. It was 3AM after all and I had been running through every training mission since I got the A10C at about 23:00. I was quite pshyched about the plane. Either way, everything is OK now, and when a support ticket is logged, I must say ED does respond quickly. Kind Regards J3tBl4st.
  21. If response times by EagleDynamics on this forum is any indication, then I fear for the future of DCS. Which is such a shame, I had so much hopes for expanding on my DCS simming.
  22. Sorry for starting a new thread, but it seems no one is monitoring the old one anymore, there hasn't been an update in 2 years, and my comment received no replies. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=150318 The issue of not being able to slew in Air to Air mode seems to have been around for 2 years. Is there a fix or a patch for it yet, or are we investing money in to a sim that is just standing still and not going anywhere? I am quite impressed and happy with the A10C, but it seriously worries me if no effort has been made to fix a small bug in over 2 years. How can I have enough faith in the product and continue investing if the developers don't care about the community enough to, monitor and reply to bug reports, and don't show any interest in fixing it? Could "someone" please give an update on this issue? Regards J3tBl4st.
  23. Ah! Genius. Thank you. That's been driving me nuts. Thought it weird that there are 2 (3) different radios but I always only had to use LAlt+NumPlus. I couldn't find the key bind though. Using the HOTAS switch for UHF seems to get me in contact with them. Regards J3tBl4ast PS: (Zulu) If you wanna get together for an OP at some point let me know.
  24. Hello Guys. I just got the Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification Campaign for the A10C, but I am having some issues with the Air to Air Refueling missions. I watched a video for this specific mission, but the voice over etc, sounds different from the version I have, and the video is edited, not showing the entire mission, so I can't check if I am setting my radios the same he is. I CANNOT REACH THE TANKER ON THE RADIO. I tried a hundred times but get no response. The Frequency is supposed to be 251 MHz AM which is set on radio 2. I end up fiddling with the radios until the FE tells me we need to call it a day, I'm at the tanker, I can see them and here their position reports, but cannot get them to answer me. I am extremely frustrated... Please help a guy out and tell me what the heck I am missing. Regards J3tBl4st
