  1. Hello. I have just bought and installed the "update" to the A10C II. I am having some issues selecting it though. It shows up side by side with the old A10C at the bottom of the screen, but when I go to "Training", "Campaign" or any of those options, I only see the old A10C, and that is all it loads even when running the Startup training. I know it is the old one, as the cockpit is pristine, and I have checked in the advanced settings on the A10C II, and the Dirty Bird Texture is selected. Am I missing something. I have restarted DCS after installation, but no change. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards J3tBl4st.
  2. Not using a HUB, but will try switching USB ports. Will report back soon. Thanks for the suggestion. Brand new Asus motherboard and Ryzen upgrade though.
  3. Hello all. I have the Thrustmaster T16000M FCS. I have been experiencing a weird issue where specifically my Trigger First Detent, and Modifier buttons stop working intermittently. Trigger much more often. I then have to go into Controller Configuration, unassign, save, reassign and save... the exact same buttons. Trigger works the first time, then stops and I have to go through the whole process again. Any advice/solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kind Regards J3tBl4st.
  4. I also have a question on this mission. I've finished the mission second time round manually switching to the Guard channel, since I didn't know how to monitor it. I was googling "how to monitor a third channel" only up in here I saw the "GRCV", and was able to find that in the plane's manual. Other than that... nail biting mission. I hooked up with Texaco with 810 Gallons fuel remaining.
  5. Hello JMarso. The kneeboard is usually the first place I go look, and I am 80% sure I did check, but I won't bet my last nickle on it. If I did miss it, my apologies, I know for a fact I did check the "Raven One Guide" but couldn't find it in there. I could still really use some help with other terminology, especially if it is orders I'm given for the first time. My biggest issue so far is the "incomplete"(?) coordinates on mission 3 when bombing the compound.
  6. Hello Ravens. So, I've been enjoying the Raven One campaign more than any other campaign I've flown thus far. I do have one major issue. I am not aware of any reference material that can help you understand instructions you are receiving for the first time, and that really puts a big dampener on my enjoyment. Like receiving coordinates to drop the J-28 in mission 3. I'm expecting 8 digits and elevation, but only receive 6 digits and no elevation, and even after flying the mission 3 times, the bomb drops just outside the compound in exactly the same location every time. So somewhere I am miss interpreting the information given, or not given all the information. Mission 4 I have to keep a lookout for "Flashlights", great... what's that? I end up pausing the mission, going through the mission briefing again, try Googling it, I couldn't find anything anywhere about what the hell a "Flashlight" is supposed to be, so I don't know what I am looking for. I know now after the mission it was Choppers, but before I found them, I had no idea. The "Raven One Guide" in the "doc" folder of the Campaign would have been a good place to add some insight into understanding instructions. At the very least, I would have expected to get a short piece of text at the top of the screen when I receive new instructions I haven't received before, the second time this would not be necessary, but it would help tons the first time round instead of flying in circles while trying to understand what I was just instructed to do. There are loads of instructions that sound like jibber jabber. Please consider adding onto and expanding the "Raven One Guide". Not even Google can help me understand what's going on here. Regards J3tBl4st.
  7. I've also been using zeros after the given coordinates. I'll give it another try just now. Thanks.
  8. Hello Guys. Been looking all over for some help as the frustration is getting to me. Hoping to finally get an answer here. I'm having an issue on mission 3. I've flown it a dozen times and can't seem to drop the J-28 on target. It consistently falls just beyond the compound wall in the same location every time. Aside from the LAT LON coordinates given, I don't understand the rest of the instructions and can't figure out if he is giving the Elevation somewhere and I'm just missing it. I read the documentation that come with the campaign, but it's basically just a glossary of words. I'm also only given 6 by 6 coordinates instead of 8 by 8, again, not sure if I'm missing something. I even bought the book hoping it will help me understand some of the phraseology. I do like the Idea of reading the book and then flying some missions, it's definitely something new, but I am a bit of a perfectionist and want to complete all the tasks I can by myself, hence re-flying the mission over and over trying to hit the compound myself. But I can't find the missing link, and I would now really like to complete this mission and start moving on... So help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Regards J3tBl4st
  9. Hello all. I don't know if anyone still follows this thread, but I need some assistance so here goes. I am having an issue on Mission 03 dropping the J-82. I input the coordinates as given, I don't know where or if he gives the elevation, I've re-flown the mission a dozen times, and every single time, the bomb drops a couple of meters outside the compound in the exact same spot. Getting a little frustrated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I checked the documentation in the mission folder, but it only gives a glossary of terms. Nowhere is the format of the coordinate information covered. Hope someone reads and replies to this soon. Kind Regard J3tBl4st
  10. Evidently I'm not the only one thinking DCS is a bit soulless. Without 3rd party developers (which are few) coming out with campaigns, you are stuck with awesome high fidelity planes and nowhere to go. I feel like I'm stuck in the middle of the Sahara with a Buhatti and no roads to drive it on. I am currently trying out the Liberation 2.0 Dynamic Campaign, but even if that turns out great, there is still a lot to be desired as far as Single Player - Game Play goes.
  11. And that's what has me concerned about DCS. Once I bought the planes, I want to be able to do training flights to familiarize myself with the aircraft without having to read a 300+ page manual (I'm too impatient, I want to get in the air and start doing stuff.) then start flying missions, campaigns etc. I'm not a programmer and don't want to spend hours in the Mission Editor to setup missions for myself and go into knowing exactly what is coming. Who would have bought Battlefield 4 and 5 if you were expected to setup your own missions? I don't mind if it is third party, but for pete's sake, bring out some content for these planes. It can greatly extend the lifespan of DCS and the planes if you can get new content, missions etc once in a while.
  12. Maybe not the best description, let me re phrase... Scenarios. Thanks for the provided info, I will look out for those. BTW: I am a real world Private Pilot, and they don't just stick a couple of manuals in your hands and hand you the keys and say go fly. Neither does the Navy... or the airlines. You have an instructor for the first couple of hours before you go solo. The A10C has training missions that walk you through all the different systems. That is comprehencive. People learn in different ways. Some can read a manual, get up and go do it, others like myself, need to physically "see" how something is done, and then I can go out and do it.
  13. Hello All. So I own all these amazing... scratch that AWESOME planes, but find myself almost never doing much more than watching Grim Reapers Tutorials and creating my own single objective missions for training and practice. There are major gaps in the Training that comes with most of these planes, then you try and fly a mission that came with the plane and die minutes in because you still don't have any idea what you are doing. You're limited to one or two mission that released with the plane, no campaigns, no story line... I know some of these are still in early access but... are there eve going to be any proper Training Guides and Campaigns for these planes? It's like building a US$15,000.00 Gaming PC and you can only play PacMan on the thing. Feeling a little frustrated at the lack of content and wishing I could just get a refund and move on. F16, no Campaigns whatsoever. Training... almost nothing that will help in combat. Progress seems about as slow as with Star Citizen. Wondering if I'll ever get to enjoy it before I move to retirement community. The most comprehensive plane I own right now is the A10C. Regards SpeedBirdNam.
  14. Same issue. Finally trying to get a handle on one of the planes. SA shows targets, Targeting Radar... Nothing, even when I am ontop of them. It doesn't even work in the Training Mission that comes with the F18 for the AMRAAM. Yellow triangles at the top, but no bricks to slew and lock on to.
  15. Don't know how you got to that solution, but you did it. Flew that bloody mission six times, and every time, past wpt 3, navigation just quit. You fix worked. Thanks for sharing.
