Rlaxoxo Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) I realize that Mirage is using the core default animation for the Afterburner and all but I found a particular behaviour with afterburner that's little "odd" pier say ... For example if you FULL AFB the Afterburner will be max length If I lower the throttle to lets say from 100% to 95% the length of the Afterburner is the same and no change in animation even tho the fuel flow went from 320 to 130 kg/min Then once you go below 130 kg/min fuel flow and into 110 - 128 range the AFB animation cone will decrease (Suddenly!) Idk I find this to be quite weird, but it's not really a huge deal I also think the engine flame when AFB is on the inside of a engine nozzle for example: For F-15 that engine flame is spinning and it makes it look sorta nice and cool but for Mirage it spins for a bit stops spins in opposite direction then stops and since the engine is so large the flame looks almost pixelated and worse quality : / Idk guys what do you think? Hydrox Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Maybe they could remake it somehow. What are those rings?

IRL, the blue won't show in daylight just the orange. Not until lower light conditions will the blue begin to show. Looking good at this stage.

Cba thinking of a way to code this, to much work, I'll just wait till ED implements it if they even do to have different day/Night afterburners [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
SkateZilla Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) There is a Animation ID Controlled By Day/Night. Make an Afterburner Effect in Max, clone it, give one daytime textures, and one night time textures, Set one to show during the day, and one during the night using ArgumentVisibility, presto mundo. Can Likely control it via Cockpit System to: ie,. Local ABNIGHT = sensor_data:get<whateverSensorNameisForTime> Load throttle position as well as Engine RPM then if ABNIGHT > 2100 and ABNIGHT < 0730 then set_aircraft_draw_argument_value(<DAYAB ANIMATION>, 0.0) set_aircraft_draw_argument_value(<NIGHTAB ANIMATION>, 0.0 * Throttle Position/Engine RPM etc) else set_aircraft_draw_argument_value(<DAYAB ANIMATION>, 0.0 * Throttle Position/Engine RPM etc) set_aircraft_draw_argument_value(<NIGHTAB ANIMATION>, 0.0) end however the AI wont use the CockpitSystem Script, so It'd be easier to use the Day/Night Argument ID. Rlaxoxo Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Interesting ... Razbam plz implement this : D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
SkateZilla Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 It'd be better if it was implemented at a shader level by ED, that way all AC have Orange in the light and White/Blue at night. I tried looking into that and tried changing the color of the shader by changing the RGB color but it didn't do anything Do you know of a way to change the shader color from red to blue? Would be really awesome : D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Youtube Reddit
