Dugong Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Anyone else had this? They get to within a few hundred feet of the target and then execute a 90 degree dive towards earth. Doesn't matter what launch distance.
TomCatMucDe Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I didn't miss any R3R so far. They are rather overpowered. If a target goes 90 deg and dives, you should lose the lock and your missiles go ballistic
Dugong Posted May 30, 2016 Author Posted May 30, 2016 Are you on the beta or the main branch? It really strange, i tried setting a C130 up in the editor flying straight and level with no manouvering and the R3R still does the same thing, a dive straight towards earth! I can launch at max range or 1-2km and it still does the same thing every time.
zerO_crash Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 (edited) I didn't miss any R3R so far. They are rather overpowered. If a target goes 90 deg and dives, you should lose the lock and your missiles go ballistic Uhm, NO! This is not a doppler radar, but a pulse antenna radar, therefore it does recognize non moving targets (this is also why you get ground clutter). This is something that doppler radars suffer from, as they are filtering out close to not moving targets, which is also why you get no clutter problems with them. Nothing wrong with the R-3R. It seems to be performing just right. As to the missiles mis-behaviour, I´ve yet to encounter this problem. It works splendid for me. Good thing the "volume scan" times have now been adjusted as well. It was a little too good before, now you actually feel those couple of seconds it takes to scan the volume ahead before you get the target, depending on crossection, size, signature, distance, etc... wumas0201 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 These missiles go wrong for sure bro. not only happens in Radar guied missile. there must be some bugs for these misslies and need to be fixed by LN team.
zerO_crash Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Again, I have not encountered any issues, so not sure what you guys are having problems with. As for IR, they have a problem of a different nature, it`s reported in a different thread. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Tango3B Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I agree with zero crash. I could not reproduce the problem you describe in your post. The R-3R works ok on my end - apart from being a little op, of course. But that is fine with me.:D Dugong, would please attach a DCS track file, a video or better even an ACMI file from Tacview if you own that software. It would make things so much easier for us to see what goes wrong on your side when you employ the R-3R...
