Ratcatcher Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Hey all, Loving the Gazelle at the moment but have a question about the above controls. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or there's a bug, but... I have a Saitek throttle Quadrant that I'm using for the above two controls. I have assigned them through the Axis command section but when I move them they do not smoothly move from closed to fully open, but jump straight from open to closed ( the fuel cut off sometimes jumps about a 1/4 of the way ) but if I keep moving the lever, it then jumps to the fully open position. As a consequence of this since the updated fuel cut off status I am now regularly blowing the engine if I try and use the Saitek levers and I have resorted to using the mouse which works fine. Hope you can help! joey45 Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Try checking your axis in game and in windows. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Ratcatcher Posted June 1, 2016 Author Posted June 1, 2016 Hey Joey, thanks for the advice. I checked the axis movement for the levers in windows and they work perfectly. But in game movement of the levers is not graduated and simply shows far left then far right. I hooked up the Cessna trim wheel to see if that works... and it does! So I don't really know what the issue is but it seems just to relate to the Saitek device. Nichts Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 With a Saitek X52 Throttle there are no problems, at least for the fuel lever. I don’t use an axis for the brake lever as its slow movement is a perfect timer for the fuel pump when starting up the machine. please note: english isn’t my first language, I‘m still learning. Please feel free to contact me when you think something I wrote is not clear, simply wrong or just should be corrected – thx
Cowboy10uk Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Using the thrust master warthog throttle for rotor brake and throttle with no issues here. Axes works fine. Ratcatcher Posted June 2, 2016 Author Posted June 2, 2016 Thanks guys, still no joy with the Saitek quadrant. Must be an issue with that. I had previously messed with the banding's for an F86 profile on the quadrant, treating the levers as switches. I stoped using that profile and went back to the default one but maybe its possible that its settings has carried over and messed up the lever setting, will keep digging. RogueRunner Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 You sure you do not have that axis assigned twice to two devices. The game kinda makes default axis assignments and I have to generally clear all my device profiles for each module before I start assigning axis to my control devices. With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.

Nope, I checked...then checked again! Its not that either. I have now assigned the levers to my hog and the axis levers work fine. Weird! Oh well I think I'm going to admit defeat on this one. Thanks again for all the suggestions guys.
