CV1 Orange light, not responsive

Anyone run into this? I'm using 368.22 driver (which is the latest) from NVidia. I am also using 1.4 runtime if memory serves. I tried the various plugging and unplugging of HDMI/USB but it didn't work.

 

I do see the HMD, pointer, and sensor as being connected. I also tried unplugging and plugging in the cable at the HMD side as well.

 

I thought someone might have run into it

Mine arrived and it gave me intermittent connection on hdmi.

 

I talked to them and they are saying I need to run a whole load of tests. He said it may need a new lead (sounds like your problem).

 

I told them I want to return it for a refund and they are saying I cant even tho it doesnt work.

 

I feel your pain you should have stuck with the Vive.

Thanks, I'll check it out. It's still early so I knew what I was getting into. I'm willing to pay the tax for the smoother experience with Rift (and the headset, people don't give Real3D sound enough credit).

 

How could you *not* return it? If it doesn't work? Odd.

OK, I was googling from Rift only view, but adding Nvidia expanded my search results quite a bit. I guess I'll give DVI adapter a try (have some lying around). All part of the "early adopter" tax, I suppose! :)

I got mine working this morning. Was gonna video the disconnects but it decided to work.

I had to use USB 2.0 for sensorr but it worked great.

 

I agree I am gonna keep it just for DCS the extra framerate is significant especially in Multiplayer.

 

According to Oculus if you open it you cant return it even if it doesn't work :(

which support agent told you that? I know at least 5 guys that returned their units.

 

 

Even if they insist, get an RMA Replacement and Put on Ebay, it will sell high,

Constantine was the rep. I was about to give them one more chance before going to the credit card company and disputing the charge. Now it works and is significantly better than the vive for DCS I am gonna keep it. Have to keep the Vive for the rest of the family.

I noticed sometimes my sensor will stop working, or like you... the HMD will not turn on even when activating the sensor to do so.

 

I restart the Oculus service and it is usually good to go then. I just dropped a restart command in a .bat file on my desktop and when I notice something finicky with my HMD/Sensor, I just double click it to restart the service.

Thanks Shogun0, I tried restarting the service, and it was a no-go. I'll try the DP adapter later this week.
