True Immersion

I've only had my O.R. CV1 a few days but I thought I'd share my initial impressions of it.

 

Is it perfect??? NO

Is there still a "screendoor" effect??? YES

Is the resolution as good as a monitor??? NO

Is it Cumbersome to use at first?? YES

 

With all that being said it is still the Most Immersive Experience I have ever had in my 20 plus years in flight simulation.

It is able to accomplish this and overcome the negative points I made above because it tricks you.

Once you start banking a Huey or Mi-8 45 deg and flying tree top level,your brain tricks you....and you no longer are behind a Plastic Box filled with expensive electronics in your computer room.....You are IN That Helicopter!!! When you look around at the Amazing 3D Cockpits,The Gauges and Switches and Dials.....It's True Immersion.

 

I did something today I never ever have done while flying a desktop simulator...I reached my hand out and Braced myself for impact before a crash!!! My Brain was fooled to a point that it really believed I was in Danger....True Immersion:thumbup:
