Hello guys, anyone of you has problem to hit with magic using the short range radar? I can't hit nothing with radar ON but with radar OFF the magic is very accurate

The radar does not currently affect the Magic 2 use at all, except for providing an 'in range' cue. Later the Magic seeker will be able to be cued to the radar position, but that functionality isn't available yet. So short answer: nope.

Currently, the Magic seeker is boresighted at the "+" symbol on the HUD symbology, near the top. Don't let the radar lock symbol over your target trick you into thinking the Magic is also locked - you need to listen for the seeker tone change, which is currently the only indicator that the Magic has acquired a target.

Incorrect.

Circle around target (HUD) = Magic lock. Already there.

Later, we may get the triangle (when locks are "synchronised" radar (square) + magic (circle))

Radar ON/OFF makes no difference for Magic performance.

As others have already stated.

Even with the radar on (and a radar lock) you still need to get a boresight lock (putting the target right infront of the seekerhead untill it sees the target)

Only difference with having a radar lock is that it gives you range information.

When we get the ability to slave the seekerhead to the radar things will be different but atm you always need to put the enemy on the boresight for the missile to see him.

and a radar lock does not effect that.

my problem is when I using the boresight the target is locket but I don't have missile tone, I have launch graphic (doble circle and TIRR message) but no launch tone

(as mentioned above) ATM there is no IR/Radar slave, so even though your radar has a lock and can give you range guidance the IR seeker may or may not be locked on the target (no tone no lock). At the point where you have a radar lock on the target try to maneuver so to position him near the top center of the HUD (the boresight cross not the CCM boresight) and the IR seeker will pick him up and you will get tone.

Sometimes If I have visual on the target and have cleared to engage him with IFF I will forgo the radar lock and just lock him with the IR seeker and estimate the range, it keeps his RWR from lighting up with a hard lock.

yes but the TIR message just means you are in range.

It does not mean the missile has locked on a target.

So just follow the same procedure as you would without having a radar lock.

Put the target on the Cross in the upper middle of the hud untill you get a good tone and at that point if you are within range etc launch.

the point cross for the heat seeker lock is because is open beta? I guess the seeker should be the center circle

That circle only appears when a target is radar locked. You're supposed to put the small square which appears inside it to fly a collision course.

It has nothing to do with Magic field of view.

You can lock your Magic without radar, but no radar = no circle.

Plus, in turning fight, the higher is the "aiming point" in the HUD, the less AoA you have to take to bring it on target.
