A small subset of WW2 simulator fans are playing DCS, while the overwhelming majority are spending their money on simulators with vastly inferior flight and system dynamics, but which have actual content and immersion.

Fixed.

This poll is far from the only venue in which WW2 sim fans have repeatedly told ED that they are not interested in DCS until it has more content (improved damage modeling being a second common request). Other posts here, other sim fan forums, or even just a casual look at the breakdown of DCS user numbers versus other WW2 flight sim user numbers, would tell you that ED is losing customers to the competition, and that one of the main reasons is their neglect of content.

I really don't understand why ED keeps burying their heads in the sand regarding the importance of AI and mission content for DCS...

You guys did see the Normandy icon in Matt's last live stream right?

Nope.

I wait for the written info in the newsletter, personally. Wasn't anything in the last one, if memory serves.

As for the validity of the poll... it's certainly no more futile than the usual wrangling over whether the X-Fighter-44 had green spots or purple spots painted over the wings. :P

People just seem to want a bits of heads-up as to what's happening, and to air their own personal POV. Both of which seem pretty harmless.

While Eagle Dynamics is primarily focused on DCS World 2.5, Spitfire, and F/A-18C Hornet, our friends at Belsimtek are busy getting the F-5E Tiger II ready for an Early Access release. The module has entered testing, and preparations for manual localization is underway. One of our German translators, Rakuzard, has created a couple preview videos of this new module:

Racoon was put valuable info about AI units on the Normandy ww2 Theater (May 10) post some time ago:

This mean map is a landscape, flora, buildings... things like that. But we have a lot of different WWII units in production (spoiler: AI bombers as well) . So WWII units will not be a part of Normandy or any other map, but will be available for all maps.
