Zeus67 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Next RAZBAM Module? I wish. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. Darkbrotherhood7 Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Pretty soon we will reach this stage: I've always loved the Macross VF-1S Valkyrie and always wonder how it would be to pilot one. Mission: "To intercept and destroy aircraft and airborne missiles in all weather conditions in order to establish and maintain air superiority in a designated area. To deliver air-to-ground ordnance on time in any weather condition. And to provide tactical reconaissance imagery" - F-14 Tomcat Roll Call [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mattebubben Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) I wish. Well the way a significant part of the Community only wants the most powerful aircraft available and frown at anything that is not as or more powerful then the F-15C with 8x Aim-120s i think it would have allot of sales... Well, that VF-1S certainly looks powerful. It has 4 big long range missiles that are very likely AIM-54 wannabees, 10 AMRAAMs wannabees and that twin gun mount looks like a 76 mm. So a single hit will certainly frack anybody's day. Of course it has a couple of very powerful engines capable of taking this bird with all that load up to low Earth orbit. So good luck catching it. Yeah, very OP as they say. Zeus67 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Jokes aside. I do really like the VF-1S valkyrie as a plain aircraft. It is a really good looking F-14 variant. Darkbrotherhood7 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Why not the B-1R lol 22x AMRAAMs :D Mission: "To intercept and destroy aircraft and airborne missiles in all weather conditions in order to establish and maintain air superiority in a designated area. Zeus67 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 My favorite ficitional cold war warrior: The B-52 Megafortress. Read the Flight of the Old Dog to learn about this bird. It fought against Mig-31s and 29s and won handily. Specially with its rear firing Stinger missile system. TheJay15 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Im sure if the B-1R was in the sim it would be the only thing flown on the 104th. takeoff, fox-3 22 times, land, redo
sedenion Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 With twin-rails launcher it can go up to ten. For sure it will be popular in MP :megalol: Ho 'murica... what you did again...
Manuel_108 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 With twin-rails launcher it can go up to ten. For sure it will be popular in MP :megalol: THAT's what I was hinting at.
Chrinik Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 THAT's what I was hinting at. Yeah, thanks for derailing the threat into a Hornet/Spamraam discussion. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] GCI: "Control to SEAD: Enemy SAM site 190 for 30, cleared to engage" Striker: "Copy, say Altitude?" GCI: "....Deck....it´s a SAM site..." Striker: "Oh...." Fighter: "Yeah, those pesky russian build, baloon based SAMs." -Red-Lyfe Best way to troll DCS community, make an F-16A, see how dedicated the fans really are
sedenion Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Yeah, thanks for derailing the threat into a Hornet/Spamraam discussion. Not so dramatic, the initial question was answered (for the 3847th time)... then, we can smile a bit...
Zeus67 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Jokes apart, I think something is wrong with your strategic/tactical situation and your missiles if you need to load 10 AMRAAMS. 1 vs 3 these days is suicide. The days when a lone wolf could fight 20 and get 10 before being shot down ended in 1918.
