guess at best just keep lookout for a Modded Su27 with acess to R77s online.

 

Ive seen a server have F15s with Phoenix missiles, so its just a matter of having a server that accepts such mods.

netcode is what connects events in the server with the clients. Warpy/laggy/buggy netcode plays havoc with missiles, especially SARH missiles.

 

Also, proper implementation of the Su27 datalink? What's missing/erroneous?

And we don't have a choice but to carry 4 of these dead weights. Highly disadvantageous being a Su27 driver in DCS when you're going up against F15s,16s & 18s with AMRAAMs. We need the AMRAAMSKIs.

 

 

Yes, let´s disregard the literally HUNDREDS of US made missiles fired and missing targets all throughout history even after Vietnam.

 

How bout those two Phoenix missiles fired by F-14s against an Iraqi MiG-25, both missed and the 25 escaped unharmed.

 

How bout most air-to-air kills in the Gulf War being made with Sidewinders.

 

So, all BVR missiles suck, let´s update everything to carry Aim-120D Amraams instead.

well there is quite a difference between the because Aim7M of the 80s is not the modern Aim120c

Exactly! 27's job is to strike not just spook...and it doesn't do it's job at all...AMRAAMSKIs plz; I guess with it the Su27s will be quite formidable!

 

For that they need to add an Su-27S/SM/SMK or something like that which is very different. The standard Su-27 we have on DCS is the first Su-27s that came in service which are comparable to the F-15A from the 1960s/70s, vs F-15Cs from the 1980s/90s so for that you need to see which were the first Su-27s models to be upgraded with the R-77 and then, see if there is enough info on that model available publicly for ED to make it.

 

Hopefully in the future ED might update the F-15C to the MSIP II standard with the AESA radars and the AIM-9X and hopefully we'll see more Flankers, possibly a flyable Su-35 and maybe an Su-30MKI (psst I know you love that plane) :smilewink:
