All,

You may not know this, but there is a complementary misson scripting framework for DCS World in the make, called MOOSE...

(Mission Object Oriented Scripting Environment).

For those who are interested, i have planned a session on Thursday 21 July at 21:00 CET (EUROPE), 15:00 EST (USA).

As a recent member of the MOOSE community (and a total noob when it comes to scripting), I must say I am totally blown away by what FlightControl achieved with MOOSE.

Highly recommended if you are into mission making and/or scripting.

Will try my best to be there, sir, already looking forward to it!

I'll try to be there as well but rather occupied by work...

just downloaded and installed teamviewer. Have never used it before. Is it like teamspeak? Do I just need to run it, connect with the detail's given by flight controll, and that's it. Or do I need to know anything else about teamviewer?

Unfortunately, the workshop is already done.... I suggest 4 things for those people interested, because I am providing support to those who want to use the framework...

1. Do a search on the eagle dynamics forums with the word MOOSE... Have a look at the threads. You'll see that the work on this framework started a long time ago, and the functionality has matured.

2. Send me a friend request on skype to FlightControl_Skype

3. Send me an email to flightcontrol_dcs@outlook.com or send me a private message on this forum with your email address. As a response, you'll receive an invite on our slack.com MOOSE chat channels, where you can drop questions and get to know the community. Slack is a fantastic tool to share designs and knowledge.

4. Have a look at some of the training videos already posted. Especially the developer videos will be of interest to you. Suggest to start using MOOSE, that you CAREFULLY and patiently watch the first Developer video. This will explain you in detail how to setup your dev environment. We use eclipse. Moose provides lua coding with INTELLISENSE... Meaning, while you code, you can walk through your code and methods, parameters etc are documented on the fly...

I will organize a sequent workshop around september/october...

Hope to see you soon on slack!

Sven

Phenomenal work!

Is the Slack channel open to the public or is it only for internal development purposes?

You're welcome to join our little club. Other people are welcome too. It is open to the public, but I need to send you an invite. So I need an email address. This is how it works.

Find some screen shots below of how the slack environment looks like. It is free...
