What's the scoop on Kinney Interactive and his F-35 for DCS

I was obsessed with the idea of being able to pilot the F-35, but as usual I figured my fun would be cut short for some reason or another, I thought the military would actually complain or something stunting it's progress, so what actually became of that project was it cancelled or....?

As far as I know it has been cancelled two years ago.

Yep, it's been gone for quite some time now. It didn't seem feasable from the beginning (classification, lack of available data).

Now that this is public...

We are sure that Kinny Interactive will be doing a great job!

So much for that...

Did someone buy that domain out and put up an entirely unrelated project at the end of the domain?

I'm sorry but that aircraft was really close to being developed from what I could gather, are you sure the government doesn't have something to do with this?

LL

The level of done just seems like the government is hoarding all the goods. Then giving us some old website from forever ago to distract us.

I don't know what, or where, you gathered that.

Yup, the government suppressed it. :megalol:

Of course they did, just like the Panavia Tornado for VBS3 that was yanked. Silly government thought they would try and trick us haha

A beautifully detailed and rendered airplane does not a flight model make.

I would imagine a lot of the data you would need to make an F-35 fly correctly in DCS would be classified. Things like turning and climb rates and max G-loads are also the kind of things it's handy to know if you want to shoot one down in the real world, and the sort of things lockmart and the US government wouldn't want widely known for as long as humanly possible.

Perhaps DCS is just not capable of handling the number of times you need to 3 finger salute the radar system during a flight.

Practice makes perfect.
