MAD-MM Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Not really up to date how US jet Fighter Radar works some help would be nice. Did the Radar provide in Search Modus any other Information then the Distance? Elevation and Azimuth when I turn my Aircraft only lost the Contact? Or only in tracking modus with the ACQ Look? And what means B-Sweep? And how did the calculation of the Range Line work, did not understand this fully. thx Edited July 23, 2016 by MAD-MM Once you have tasted Flight, you will forever walk the Earth with your Eyes turned Skyward. r4y30n Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 No, the radar only provides range and azimuth in search mode (and technically elevation from the antenna tilt). B-Sweep is the type of display: azimuth going left to right and range going up/down. Range scales are mentioned in the training missions and on page 157 of the manual.
ricktoberfest Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Is the radar "earth stabilized"? When I'm climbing at 20 degrees is 0 degrees on the radar still on the horizon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
