Hi all! Tried searching but couldn't come up with anything, so just wanted to quickly ask and see if there were any passenger jet models out there to use (just AI, not flyable)?

wanted to set up some missions protecting some 737's or something similar.

Here is a link to a page with a Boeing 707 Mod, it's about as close as you will get. Scroll down and pick either F-15C or Su-27 avionics, this will just change what cockpit (or hud, I have not used the mod so I am not sure) you are using in the aircraft in the download. There are skins as well.

The avionics are there because they are all flyable I believe and it is much easier to make an external model and just port in a cockpit than to make a new cockpit that looks decent.

The torrents work. If you are not familiar with how to use torrents here is a quick rundown.

1. Download your file (it will be a .torrent file)

2. Download and install a program called BitTorrent

3. With that installed go to your downloads and right click on your .torrent file you downloaded

4. Click on "open with" and if on Windows 10 hit "more apps" and select BitTorrent from the list

5. This will open the file in BT and it should start seeding immediately, if it does not try and look for something that says 'start" or something along those lines.

If you have any additional questions feel free to ask!

I personally however would like to chime in and agree that I'd like more civilian AI planes in the game to fill out an important role. They're needed to fill out our airports, Tbilisi & McCarren and there are only so many Yak-40's and AN-26's you can place before it gets repetitive.

This 707 is a welcome addition, great job guys, now how about some Airbus, ATR's or DC-10's?

If you find a free model of the desired quality, with a license allowing it to be used, please go ahead and post it!

There are some really talented people in this community that are able to import it to DCS, at least as an AI plane.

"Flying" the VSN-AdA Mod planes yourself isn't that much fun IMO, I use it mainly for video making or something like that. The flight models are rather rough and of course there are no realistic cockpits. But as AI planes I like them very much. :)

got it all downloaded! have you actually gotten the mod to work? it says to extract everything into the mods/aircraft directory (which seems a little strange). i then went into the mission editor to see if i could find any of the new planes, but they don't seem to be showing up.

The files must go in that folder so they get put in the game. If you cannot find them you may want to change the country. I myself have not used it but I will give it a shot right now.

EDIT: I cannot give it a shot right now as all links (including torrents) are now all down and broken. I do not know why but these links have always been having issues. I suggest going to DCS User Files, selecting the File Type as "Mod" and scroll through, there aren't many (if any) civilian aircraft, there are a few aircraft tho.

Here is a link to the page with the 2 options selected.

try: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wysnnuxzdaqmo92/VSN_AdA_Mod%20v1.5.3.05%20F15C%20Avionik.zip?dl=0

though it does say its for 1.5.3
