Pitch damper cutoff switch

The manual explain that the "pitch damper cutoff switch" disengage the pitch damper system, ok... but it doesn't explain in which case it's useful to use it... Any idea ?

I would presume if you experience a Damper issue ... it goes nuts and starts putting in un-commanded damping inputs.

Ok, so to place it on the stick is for a quick reaction and not searching for the switch on the left console ?
