Pilot scale mismatch

Here are three screenshots of the P-51 and the Bf-109 pilots, both have "ejected" from their respective planes, and both seem to be off-scale when compared to each other; the 109 pilot looks rather small and puny compared to the Mustang's pilot, and I wonder why.

 

Does that mean that the planes are off-scale, the cockpits, or the just the pilots? Would be nice if this was consistent across the board...

It's those overweight Americans! And the Germans were running out of veteran pilots so they're much younger! Like 16/17

I hear the Russian pilots are built like bears, but they generally just lie down with a bottle of vodka in hand so it's hard to tell

I think it's just the pilot scaling, the 109 is a pretty small a/c. I stand 6 ft tall and was able to look into the cockpit while still standing on the ground. It was in a museum with many other WWII fighters and was really surprised to see the size difference in person.

Just a bump for awareness... has this scale issue been acknowledged by ED and perhaps even been resolved?
