ron533 Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 Is simultaneous multi projection by Nvidia's new pascal GPU's are supposed to be supported in DCS? [ame] [/ame] I understand that it is not supported out of the box, and the dev's need to support it. Well..DCS most definitely should support it , for VR and triple monitors... Callsign SETUP

firmek Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) Looks really interesting. It should really improve the quality or actually make the multi-monitor image correct. It's one of those improvements that once introduced makes you think they are so obvious that should have been implemented from the very beginning. The question is will it require any configuration. I wonder the physical angles between the monitors will have to be entered into the software. On side note while the content of presentation is quite interesting it's just not possible to stand this hyped style of marketing... yeee "just an amazing level"... yeee let's wait that audience cheers on some FPS numbers just because we show them with green font... Seriously? It really hurts watching this but unfortunately it becomes a standard in the IT/IS industry. Hadwell Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 (edited) The problem with all those Nvidia features is you have to use Nvidia APIs, their gameworks thing... proprietary more often than not = impractical, or dead until some non-proprietary equivalent replaces it... I have an nvidia videocard, and I will buy another until AMD or any company can show me a videocard with the horsepower and better price as nvidias very top end cards (xx80) cards... but I still hate anything propriatary when it comes to computer software and hardware, it's bad, because a lot of good ideas and software/hardware don't ever get widely adopted just because some ass wanted to make money... StandingCow Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Hmmm, if this is supported in DCS I may have to splurge on a 1080. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo
Eclipse Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Bumping this - any answer on whether DCS will support it? Having just upgraded to 3-monitors recently I would really love not having the image distortion on the outer monitors! i7-9700k overclocked to 4.9ghz, RTX 2070 Super, 32GB RAM, M.2 NVMe drive, HP Reverb G2 version 2, CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals, and a Logitech Throttle Quadrant
