Fig Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Hey Guys! Soooo finally i have an incoming mail (hopefully) tomorrow and i'm finally gonna get myself a thrustmaster warthog! Anyways, i've looked over the forums and just wanna get things straight, to install the warthog and make it run properly for DCS, do i need to install the TARGET software too? Looking at the website, there are drivers and TARGET software to download. I understand that the drivers are a requirement to download and install. But will the TARGET software be necessary for all features to work and map automatically for the DCS a-10 module? Thanks guys! Im pretty sure this'll be an awesome ride!:):):) PINOY PRIDE!!! dburne Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 Warthog Drivers - Yes, they will have to be installed per the instructions. TARGET - Not a necessity, but if you want to control the LED lights yes you will need to install it. But that does not mean you have to use it to create joystick mapping, that is your choice. Congrats on your new incoming Warthog! Fig Posted August 12, 2016 Author Posted August 12, 2016 Hey Thanks dburne! One other question guys, will it be an issue to connect the TM warthog to a USB 3.0 port? cos currently my x-55 is connected to the 3.0 port and works fine. Just wanna make sure it'll be okay when i replace it with the warthog :) PINOY PRIDE!!! DeepDrummer Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) I would definitely recommend installing target. There are so many ways to set the wartog bindings that it gets scary. For a good basic starting point I would and am running Gizzy's script. There is a lot of reading and a bit of a learning curve to get to the point of understanding what is going on. Simply run the script by browsing to wherever you put it using the target GUI. Leave it running and enter the sim and set your controls. I run a far more complicated target script for another sim/game. Target is good stuff. USB 3.0 is backward compatible. Mine are on usb 3 via usb 2 extension cables. Always run the script when playing. Edited August 21, 2016 by DeepDrummer more info Win 10 pro 64 bit. Intel i7 4790 4 Ghz running at 4.6.
