Schnelli Posted August 12, 2016 Posted August 12, 2016 (edited) Hello community, I used to fly with a very old Thrustmaster Cougar, until one piece in the base broke apart and I´m not able to repair it anymore. Now I would like to go on an buy the Warthog hotas, unfortunately my budet isn´t all too great and I would really love to carry over my old Elite Rudder Pedals. And as I have found no answer to this on the Internet here is my question: Is it possible use the old pedals with an 15 pin to usb adapter with The Warthog? And if not, are there any other possibilities to make it compatible? I have heard that it may be possible to keep the cougar base in use and run the pedals over that. many thanks for any answers Schnelli :helpsmilie: edit: I´m sorry. wrong forum section, can somebody move the thread? Tailhook Posted August 16, 2016 Posted August 16, 2016 Use them with the Cougar base. I put my base inside a plastic bag to prevent dust and tucked it under my desk. Use the latest Vista drivers for the Cougar and do your profile configuring with TARGET. Intel i9-13900K : ASUS TUF RTX 4080 : 32GB G.Skill RipjawsV 4000 : TM HOTAS Warthog : HP Reverb G2

Schnelli Posted September 10, 2016 Author Posted September 10, 2016 Thank you for the answers and sorry for my late reaction, but I have good news: Since nobody answered in the first days of the thread, I decided to just take the risk and try the LogiLink UA0052C USB zu Gameport Adapter. And I have to say that after I calibrated the pedals in windows, everything works perfectly. So I went on and bought the Warthog hotas. So... thank you for for the offer Sierra but I dont need a new Cougar base anymore. ;)
TheSilkMan Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Thanks for this thread, I just got the Warthog Hotas and have Elite Rudder pedals that I use with my Hotas Cougar. Going to grab that Logilink device you mentioned off of Amazon for when I fly with the Warthog.
Aluminum Donkey Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 You can just use any cheap old USB game controller and cannibalize it for the circuit board. Graft your rudder pedal axis (and toe brakes if equipped) in place of the game controller's stick axes/triggers/levers/etc. etc. etc., other end goes into USB port, and you're good to go. Might even have some axes and buttons left over for other stuff :) AD Kit: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, Ryzen 7 5800X w/ Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, 2 x 16GB Kingston Fury DDR4 @3600MHz C16, Asus ROG Strix RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, EVGA SuperNova 750 G2 PSU, HP Omen 32" 2560x1440, Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS fitted with Leo Bodnar's BU0836A controller. --Aviation is the art of throwing yourself at the ground, and having all the rules and regulations get in the way!
